Kohler Engines 25 050 21-S Fuel Filter

Thought my 46" Lawn Tractor with the Kohler engine's fuel line filter might have been compromised because the engine wouldn't stay running after it started. Like it wasn't getting fuel. I replaced the filter, which installed in a snap. Just be sure you have a bucket to catch the gasoline when you separate the end of the filter from the hose.It didn't solve my problem ( it ended up being a bad ignition switch) but after 6 years, it doesn't hurt to change out the filter from time to time

Installed on my Craftsman 917.272481 tractor with a Kohler CV893 engine. With a previous CarQuest filter my tractor would begin to stall around on anything more than a turn at moderate speed, which became very frustrating as my lawn has many small "hills". After installing this filter my tractor doesn't stall nearly as much but it still sputters around turns from time to time.In my experience, Kohlers have never handled temps above 75-80F very well (vapor lock), so I don't blame the filter. Even when my tractor was new it would sputter when hot. I have a Craftsman trim mower with a Honda engine that never skips a beat no matter how hot.

The headline says it all. I'd certainly buy it again.
