Q: Would this work well for a leather dog leash and/or collar?

Yes this works on all leather. Ot will become darker as the oil saturates the leather. Watch a few videos on youtube. But I swear by this stuff for boots, belts and even watch bands for break in and protection as well as care.

Q: Should this be applied before, after or instead of Resolene? I make leather jewelry.

Resolene is a topcoat. This is oil rejuvinator type product. I don't make jewelery but I wouldn't combine the two. I would think unless the oil was completely dry you could have adhesion problems with a topcoat

Q: Is this ideal for black car seats?

No Use Saddle Soap for your car seats..

Q: Is there a brush on the inside of the screw top that is used to apply the oil?

No. It's just an 8oz container of oil. I bought this because the picture that I saw looked like it had an applicator tip. What I received was nothing like the picture I saw. I was just using this to oil the leather suction cup for a Coleman lantern, and was able to just submerge the cup in the oil, remove and install.
