Great product! Highly recommended but read below for considerations...
Overall great product. I love look of it on our 2015 Silverado 2500. Installation with the included double sided tape was simple and seems to be holding up well so far even in the MN winter. They also include metal clips that you can drill into the body of the truck but I opted to skip those because I am not a fan of putting any more holes than necessary in the truck.Three things to be aware of before ordering. None are a deal breaker for me because of the price and quality of the bar but just so you know.1) On my Silverado the 60" bar is about 1.5" too long to fit between the level part of the body and as a result the last 3/4" on each side is higher on the overlapping metal below the tailgate. This caused the first 3-4" of tape on each side to not be in contact with the body of the truck. So far this has caused no issues but something to consider if you want to buy a double sided tape to double up on the sides so it is a more secureinstallation.2) The wires coming out of the included 4 pin trailer plug are tiny (22 gauge or less). I opted for a hard wired installation into the spare wiring harness for the 5th wheel trailer (which I don't have) and trying to connect the small wires with the 14-10 gauge wires on the truck was a pain. With a little patience and a soldiering iron all worked well. If you are going to opt for this approach make sure you have a soldering iron, wire stripper that handles small gauge wire, shrink tubing and lots of electrical tape. The 4 wire plug will work for all but the back up lights but with the new 2500HD you cant use your 7-pin trailer connector with a 4 pin plugged in and I didn't like the idea of disconnecting every time I hauled the trailer.3) If you chose to use the backup lights of the bar (which I highly recommend because they look awesome and provide extra light when backing up at night) you need to either hard wire as I explain in 2 above, or tap into your backup light in your tail light. It is easy to do but make sure you pick up some wire splicers that work with small gauge wire (18-22 gauge).Overall happy with the purchase and highly recommend.

Nice
So far so good. I just installed in 2 days ago. I hard wired it, and left the running light function unconnected for three reasons: First, while driving id rather maintain the sleek look and not overdo it with red lights, and when it comes time to signal, or break it will capture attention because suddenly there will be RED LIGHTS! Second, I have seen these lights on other vehicles, and the running light compared to the brighter flash is not drastically brighter/ while these lights being below the tailgate which is not typically seen can in ways be distracting, so if I need to brake to make an abrupt stop, there's the chance that the driver behind me may hesitate to begin to slow. Finally, Ithe third reason, I have owned several of these, and the led's inevitably fail and I am hoping not being on constant on can lengthen the life of these. I check them whenever I stop at the gas station to fill up, quick hazard light check. I will update if/ when the led's start to go out. The look is awesome. Install was a breeze with the double sided sticky tape. I did not drill, no need to, it is light weight, and the tape is plenty sticky enough to make reliable adhesion on a properly cleaned surface. The thick clear coating they seal the led's is a new one for me, very welcome, as the clear plastics always yellow over time just like you see on aged/ sunburnt headlights. The white reverse lights help illuminate things at night, which is very nice. Overall so far this is an exceptional product. I may even purchase another for my second truck if it is still going strong within the next few weeks.

Has lasted 2+ years & 3+ harsh NE winters - amazing quality - still works perfect!
**** 2+ YEAR LATER UPDATE 12/15/2018 ****I originally bought this OPT7 led tail gate bar in October of 2016 for my 2006 Ram 1500. I sold that truck in December of 2016 and bought a 2012 Ram R/T and I was able to peel off the OPT7 LED bar's 3m tape and reapply the led bar and original 3m tape to my new truck. This LED bar has survived 3 harsh Philadelphia winters, crazy rain, snow, sleet, ice, 5° weather, etc. All the LEDs work perfectly, everything works normal. This thing has blown past my expectations and then some. I seriously can't reccomend this led bar more. Its unreal how its lasted on 2 different trucks, for 3 winters now.The last 4 pictures are how it looks now after being moved to another truck and after going thru 3 N.E. winters.**** MY ORIGINAL REVIEW ****This OPT7 LED Light Bar for your Tail Gate is amazing quality. The led bar came in a nice HUGE box (poorly taped as if someone opened it and then re-taped it very poorly) but the led bar was inside the box, then inside a hard cardboard tube, then inside a clear plastic tube. This thing was packaged so well I think it would survive a bomb or blast, it was crazy how many protective layers the shipping box had.Now onto the product. I installed this on my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 5.7L Hemi. It was super easy to install. Just like they said it is plug and play into your trucks 4 pin trailer harness. I just wiped down the spot under my tailgate i was instalking the led bar with rubbing alcohol and then pushed it on with the 3m tape. I didn't bother to hardwire the reverse lights as I don't want to hardwire anything into my new truck, but the other LED lights all worked and lit up as they should have. The 3m tape has held up so far (4 days) and if it decides to fall off I will update this review.I included 3 pictures. First one is during the day, the lights are super bright even in direct sunlight. The second picture is the led bar at night lit up under regular running position. The third picture is the led bar at night with the brakes applied.Would definitely buy an OPT7 product again on the way the package was so well protected during shipping alone.A+++ Shipping/PackagingA+ QualityA+ ProductB+ Difficulty Installing (hardwire reverse lights)A+++ OPT7 would order from again!!!
