Excellent for video editing, music production and development purpose
I was looking for a system with 16gb RAM, 500gb SSD and i7 processor specifically for video editing, music production and development stuff (dual boot linux). Most of the Laptop with these specs were in the range of 90K - 1.7 lakhs or even more depending on the weight or brand or size. Which made no sense because the things that matter in a laptop are basically the hardware specifications. Laptops have these prices I'm guessing because of the brand and probably the screen which comes along with the laptop.I had used NUC's when I was working with intel and it wasn't available initially (atleast in india) or may be not marketed properly back in 2017. To my surprise I found a fully configured NUC here which is exceptionally out performing all the other systems I have right now including a Mac book pro.***This comes without a screen so you need a monitor or external display.Pros:1. length is smaller than my phone, width is may be 2 inches which is super light and portable2. I specifically went for i7 for video editing and the performance is brilliant3. Adobe Premier Pro 20 runs smoothly, FL studio works smoothly4. A 4K 1-2 min video which used to take 2+ hours to render on my 2012 dell inspiron takes 10 - 15 mins to render depending on the effects or editing ( video: https://www.youtube.com/c/abhaynayak?sub_confirmation=1 )5. I have installed dual boot linux on this and works smoothly, no issue so far.6. I was with Intel R&D where we used NUCs for testing and dev purpose and we flashed NUCs every other week and abused it for over 2 years and I never saw any issues (My personal NUC hasnt been abused to that extent)7. Best for the price as of now, theres no other device which can beat this for the price8. Can be expandable to 32gb RAM.9. If you're looking for a cheaper NUC, you can go for the barebone model which only has the processor, buy the RAM and SSD separately, you've tons of videos on YT on how to install those in a NUC. I bought an additional 16gb RAM and fixed it myself after receiving this product.Cons:1. This might sound stupid but it is known that i7's get loud when they're overloaded (internal fan noise). If you don't use softwares which require i7, i5 NUCs are relatively quite. All in all this is a review for the Intel's product. As for the seller, I reached out to the seller to inquire if these specs are enough for my requirements and I was guided well with it very patiently and accurately. Seller did not try to over sell or fool me in any which way (I can say that because I have been using this for a while now and found no issues so far). The packaging and delivery was as expected and on time.I'm very choosy and dive deep in my research before buying any product at this scale and price, I'm happy that I did a good research and got the best available product in the market at the moment which is future proof atleast for next 8-10 years in terms of the hardware specs, unless ofcourse an entirely new technology like quantum computers or light based computers are publicly available for an affordable price, which I don't see happening atleast in the next 8-10 years

Great Product.
I use it as my desk machine for programming and studies. Great performance and value for money.

Powerful machine in a Nutshell
Powerful machine in a nutshell (small casing). This particular package comes with Crucial 16GB DDR4 RAM and crucial 500GB SSD which is cost effective in my opinion. The best things about the NUC are that they come with plenty of useful ports and include the latest Bluetooth & WiFi technology. The machine is a beast for normal day to day works. For graphical prowess, an external graphic card may be added with the thunderbolt port, however, that is a costly choice, as of now.

Nuc review: Conceptually it is great but there are heating issues and support sucks
I have had the unit for a year. It worked fine and then suddenly it started heating and powering off. The CPU fan was making some noise and then started intermittently working and eventually stopped working. I have sent my unit back to intel for support, which means you do not have the unit for more than a week. I got it back the first time that they did not find any issue. I used it for a month and it again started heating and powering off. I sent it back to intel and again they shipped it back saying it is fine without a single call to the customer to understand their problem. There is one group that talks to the customer and there is another group that works the issue in the backend and they clearly do not communicate. Their support in India is not adequate and I would not recommend anyone buy it for this specific reason. It might be better to buy a fanless unit to avoid these issues.
