New York Puzzle Company - New Yorker Tag Sale - 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle for Adults by Peter de Sève

A little funky but lots is fun.

This is my first puzzle from The New York Puzzle Company. The pieces fit loosely and when working on sections, required a spatula to move them. Other than that, it was enjoyable though a bit of a challenge - which is fine. The picture cracks me up - he's just watching the world go by while waiting on someone to show up and buy his garage sale wares. Even though the pieces were loose, I'm giving 5 stars and hope that the next one will be better. I'd definitely purchase another puzzle from this company as I like their artwork.

Tag Sale was my first exposure to Peter de Seve, and was amazingly challenging to complete. So many stairs, items strewn about, the absolutely fabulous snout--thought it would be so easy to assemble, but it was not. I recently completed Small Growers. also a de Seve cover, and adored the people and the happy atmosphere of the market place. Naturally I will continue with Mr. de Seve's magazine covers, and look forward to the difficulties as well as the charm of his artwork. I humbly recommend that you do the same.

I love the overall quality of the New York Puzzle Company puzzles. However, this puzzle had the most unusual piece shapes I’ve ever seen. The one piece the box shows is misleading. I recently put together another of New Yorker’s puzzles, and although there were non-standard pieces, it was nothing like this puzzle. I like to see consistency within a brand, so I know what to expect when I select a new puzzle. That said, their puzzles are of a very high-quality, very sturdy, almost no puzzle dust, and high-quality artwork

There is no doubt when I saw this puzzle I had to have it. I ordered it from someplace else and like most other puzzles done this and last year, it was missing a piece. Checked Amazon and found out they had this puzzle and ordered it. This piece was found and now it is ready for framing.I use the Peel & Stick Puzzle Saver and it does wonderful. My husband builds R/C Airplanes so he purchases lots of Balsa wood to built them and he used that to make the frame for my puzzles. The Balsa is extremely light weight and can be hung by the (wall) tabs included in the Peel & Stick Puzzle Saver.

I love these magazine covers and the puzzles are fun to work on. Not too easy and not so hard that I stress. Perfect.

The range of color is both fun and tricky. The jigsaw pieces are cut devilishly and provide additional challenge to us puzzlers.The quality of the pieces is excellent. A good tight fit to the pieces. The sizes are not those itsy bitsy maddening ones butterrificly varied in size. I adore puzzles and found this one fun and challenging.

Love the " New Yorker" magazine covers put out by New York Puzzle Company. They are challenging both in the topics pictured and the cut of the pieces. Moreover, whenever I see this one pop up on my screen saver I have to smile. Reminds me of some of the tag sales I have gone to put on by humans. Octogen
