VTech Strum and Jam Kidi Musical Guitar Band

My three and four y/o love this. The songs are easy to sing along with and my kids play them over, and over, and over... It has held up well. I just wish it had a quicker release strap that goes around the neck. I was to scared the kids was going to get choked, so I took that off. You just strum the guitar and the music starts playing and singing. Its a guitar, keyboard, and drum set in one. The arm folds back to make a tambourine and the whammy bar flips around to make a drum.

I bought this for my 4 year old daughter, after seeing my friend's son playing with his. It keeps her entertained for long periods of time. It doesn't have a volume button, but it's not overly loud like some toys are. The instrument sounds actually mimic the real thing. Very good investment that holds my daughter's attention .

My only complaint is that I wish it gave more control of the guitar sounds in the freestyle mode. Maybe buttons on the neck that changed the sound when he strummed would be cool. That comment is just in case a developer from the toy company is listening in. That way he could choose playing a preset song or explore making his own. Still, he likes having three instruments together and has fun playing the songs. We even have used the piano freestyle to try and make up something. Cost was fair and size is about right.

Bought this for my 3-year-old nephew. I don't know who actually enjoyed it more - my nephew, his parents or the grandparents. It was easy for him to learn what the different buttons did, but not so easy that he was bored. The music sounds great; there are a variety of instrument sounds and musical genres, and it's well-made.

Got it for my son's 1st birthday, and it has been >10 months now that he has been playing with it so happily. He started pressing buttons right away and then bouncing to the tunes he liked the most, then figured out all the string and keyboard parts, then figured how to turn it on or off, and most recently we learned about louder, quieter, faster, and slower thanks to this toy.The keyboard is in tune and the tone is not irritating or defective. Also, what I really like is that if you press several keys together, like a chord, together, it will indeed play them all, unlike many other toy instruments, which do only one at a time. Black keys are fake, but even so, it still has more notes than many other toy instruments!Very happy :)

It looks fun and works well, but sometimes I think VTech tries too hard. There's too much going on and I think it overwhelmed my two (now three) year old. She liked it for a minute, but then moved on. We've since bought a ukulele for kids, and that she loves a lot more.

Bought this for my 3yr old nephew as a Christmas present and I wanted to play with it... in fact everybody in the house wanted a go at it. I especially like the drums that turns over. There is so much to do on this one guitar, and it's design with the star lighting up as you play is sure to produce hours and hours of captivating enjoyment ... solid toy for any music loving child.
