Exhaust heat wraps were just upgraded, up armor your exhaust heat insulation with Heatshield Armor. Heatshield Armor can reduce radiant heat from your exhaust pipe by 70. The outer armor of this exhaust heat shield allows it to be cleaned after installation, gives it a long lifespan, and also makes Heatshield Armor resistant to the elements. The inner ceramic liner makes it capable of withstanding 1800F continuous, which allows this heat shield to be placed directly on headers, turbo manifolds, down pipes, and exhaust pipes. It is flexible, easy to cut and install. It keeps heat in the exhaust system which creates a scavenging effect, allowing exhaust gases to flow out of the system faster. It also prevents radiant heat from entering the driver's compartment and stops radiant heat damage to other vehicle components. they recommend the 1/2 inch thick Heatshield Armor for forced induction and racing applications.

Easier to work with than I had thought
Cut to a rough dimension, stripped 3/4" of the underside insulation away around the perimeter, and folded the edges over to give a cleaner look. Formed to my turbo manifold very nicely. I used a thin screwdriver to punch holes in areas where I could get a stainless locking tie inserted and have it secure to the pipes. I used Dorman stainless locking ties from the local auto parts store and they worked perfect. Haven't fired up the car so can't comment on performance, but installation was much easier than expected and it turned out pretty nice.

Great Product!
I used this to wrap the exhaust manifold on an old Toyota 22R-E engine.Kept the heat shields on, then put this over it. That's the best way. You've still got the air space to protect the metal (this is the problem with header wrap, they eventually rust by holding moisture to the metal), and the great insulation that I feel is an improvement over ceramic coating. Best of both worlds. I literally just wrapped it around the manifold. No need to use any retainers.Engine bay temps are MUCH lower!Great product!Use this for your turbo or exhaust manifold.

Works as advertised!
This material was fairly easy to work with and definitely blocks heat from the exhaust of our motorcycle. We used it right at the beginning of the rear cylinder where the exhaust leaves the engine and the temperature transfer has been dramatically reduced! This product definitely works and hasn't degraded in the slightest in the 300+ miles the bike has been ridden since install. Folding the edges over to conceal the fibrous material as indicated in the instructions helps with the finished look, and no doubt adds stability to that material. Definitely recommend!

Great heat barrier can touch with bare hands directly mounted to a Header!
The media could not be loaded. Just needed something to keep the heat off of my AC condenser work great with plenty left over. . . buy wire ties the metal ones you'll need them!

Awesome product! Exceeded my expectations. Easy to work with and form around 5” exhaust on Detroit series 50 on a madill 2200 feller buncher. Kept engine compartment cooler than the factory stuff did for a third of the price.

I was skeptical at first but this is actually some good thick durable heat shield. I got .5" but its actually more like 3/4. Its basically just good thick fiberglass with nice thick aluminum foil. It can almost hold its own shape and you can mold it around things. I used it to insulate a car firewall and used spray adhesive to hold it to the wall.Fantastic stuff, would buy again!

Works like a charm
This is a specialized product which most individuals will never use. It is expensive at about $20 square/foot. Easy to apply in a straight line but put on your thinking cap when you have to make a curve/turn. This product works excellent after you get it on a 6" diesel exhaust pipe as it comes off the manifold. Keeps heat off/away from other parts which are not heat resistant.

Use this to help block the radiant heat in my engine compartment. Works well, easy to use.
