These notebooks are beautiful and have a real 'wow' to them. I bought two as gifts and will buy more. They come in a thin plastic wrapper which is both resealable and has a circle punched out so you can feel the cloth. The colours are very rich - purple, green, light mauve, and the elastic closure band is a light mauve. The edges are stained light purple also. The paper is high quality with a wallet at the back for notes and papers to keep there. The notebook has a ribbon marker, and also a little bookmark that explains the history of the Isle of Skye tartan. While this feels like a symbol of the Isle of Skye, that aside, it's just a beautiful, very high quality notebook that will appeal to any notebook user who appreciates lovely things that are functional and a pleasure to use. Anyone appreciating some colour in their life will love this. It actually looks more expensive than £14.99 as well, so presents high value as a gift. It's really thought out and presented very well.

These are the most beautiful notebooks, I have bought lots and lots, the colours are just amazing, I like the end paper being coloured to match the elastic to keep your book shut. It has a pocket in the back to keep loose bits of paper and receipts and stuff. I really like the information leaflets and the clan map. The tartan cloth is perfect... a great present or if you are like me I have a few myself too. I buy one to give away, keep it then order another...I can't decide which is my favourite tartan...a good excuse to buy another.I am a bit of a stationery head so another fact is that the paper inside is great to write in, gone are my moleskin books for something a lot more interesting..

Initially bought for gift, have found different designs mean they are usefull for varied notes, lists etc. and easily found on shelf/in desk drawer. So much more cheery than plain covered notebooks.

This is a very nice notebook. And you get extra little information slips inside that was fascinating to read.
