We have a full bar. Bought this even though we really didn’t need it (have other strainers) but it’s rapidly found its way into regular use. We’ve run it through the dishwasher several times a week since purchasing so it’s winning the ‘useful’ prize. Plus looks nice.

This cocktail ice strainer is quality and has some weight to it. This particular stainless steel sieve (strainer) is used with a bartender’s mixing glass to strain the ice from a martini or a manhattan type alcoholic drink. This bartending utensil is necessary for making the perfect martini. Many amateur bartenders mistakenly use a “hawthorn” strainer when making martinis, but a hawthorn strainer is for use with a stainless steel shaker.

Fits into a cocktail mixing glass perfectly. Looks just like the photos on the listing. Sturdy!

This is a bar tool -- not a display item -- and feels robust enough to last a long time, which is job one. The seller claims that the handle is securely welded to the strainer bowl and I'm inclined to believe that that's true; it sure looks and feels solid. As for material and finish, I suspect the smooth and hefty stainless steel outclasses the strainer the guy behind your favorite bar is busy using on a nightly basis.

Got one for myself and liked it so much I got it as a gift for a friend.
