Best of Soundmagic, as of yet.
These are one of the best earphones in the market. Sound quality is very skillfully engineered to provide a proper place for bass, mids and highs. You can listen every instrument being played. It gives a big soundstage with remarkable clarity. This surely isn't for the hardcore bass heads out there but it still packs a punch. A little tinkering with the equalizer will give ample bass without overwhelming the highs. It has a warm sound which is pretty much straight forward. Moreover, It doesn't aim at making the music more entertaining than it is. It just gives the music as it was intended to be by the composer - Raw and pure.

Only for serious "mids" loving audiophiles
For any inears, finding the right tip is very important. With stock tips the sound was v shaped. Boomy bass and recessed mids.(Initially you may like it)I tried changing the tips and finally got the right one. It was a true revelation. The bass was lean, polite, clean and tight. The best bass I have ever heard. This will be second best mids I have heard, first is superlux hd681. Superlux has absolute audiophile mids but it has loose boomy bass and uncontrolled treble. That is not the case with E80. They are absolutely perfect from bass to upper midrange. There is no comparison between this one and other lower sound magic models. I have tried almost every product of them. Treble is the weak part. Cymbals don't sound realistic.Soundstage, detail retrieval and other things are just above average, nothing to describe about.Amp is not needed, most smartphone and laptop can power it.Only buy if you want forward, aggressive mids, somewhat lean bass and treble( majority refer this sound signature as boring, but for my ears this is more musical).

The best bang for your buck
I did a good amount of research before buying this headphone. It is a nice balanced headphone and I really love it. If you want to experience some of the best “bang for your buck” earphones on the planet, I would hope that these are on the top of that list.Pros:Extremely comfortable to put those in my ears even after 3 hours of continuous listening.Audiophile sound quality.Fantastic clarity.Looks great.Excellent noise isolation.Good accessories package.Cons:I was expecting to do little better with "Lows". It's not bad. May be it requires little more burn out. If you are bass freak then it may not like it.Uses:So far I have used it with iPhone 6S, Sony Xperia Z3, Macbook Pro and Windows Desktop.

first thing I noticed was the amazing soundstage. Every piece of music can be heard
Got it for 2.8k, first thing I noticed was the amazing soundstage. Every piece of music can be heard, it's like every piece of music waits for you to enjoy before moving on(imo). Bass is there, but not hardcore. The only problem is finding the right sized earpiece, if u get that right, well then its very good!!Update jun 2018 : got a v30 just for d dac, and with v30 these earphones r absoultely brilliant. Imo dis is how music should be enjoyed.

Not good clarity
Bass is good but clarity is missing.

Excellent Clarity at this price point....
I was reading the reviews for a proper music exp. in my Note4 with a in-ear headphones...I am a closet audiophile :) and love listening to music which is mostly all kinds of metal and love metallica etc.. I do not too much bass but more controlled music with distinct but not overpowering treble and distinct high, mids and lows. initially I was between Soundmagic e10 and others more pricy like Sennheiser Momentum M2 and Klipsch, Sony of the same price range. But as I read through all reviews I came down to choose value for money buds from soundmagic and came to know after e10 enhancements done by SM on its e50 and e80 buds.I was worried to see if I would get the clarity and how mids will shine and how distinct and powerful the music would be with the drums and acoustics....I also was thinking if its not great, I will revert to tester e50s which are more controlled.Soundmagic has really done an awesome job to bring clarity and control at a great price point on this earbud. With some minor reduction in treble ( I had a panasonic earbud before ) I am getting the thrill of a lifetime to my old listened to metal songs as never before...Awesome product.....give it a few days to grow on you and you will yearn for the opportunity to listen to songs all the time...

very close to a reference earphone
The quality is very close to a reference earphone.Base is low. Mid bass is present and properly synchronized. Highs are good like the E10s. No sibilance at high volume.Reaches next to ostry KC06A.On the downside, the micro phonics are a problem. The silicon ear buds are of low quality. It also has a tough competition from its sibling E10s due to its music quality and value for money.Verdict: If your E10s is working fine..no need to go for it unless you are a die hard audiophile. Even if you are, then why not go for hifiman RE400?Also,If you can spend a little more, go for ostry KC06A.

Pure audiophile grade earphones.
If you are serious about your music..this is a must for you....my earphone search stops here...sound can't be better than this. soundmagic e10 is only 50% of its quality. Soundstage greatly improved with excellent imagination.Sound will be out of this world if you use it with dap. With fiio x1 you will come to know it's true potential.AT this price range it even beats 5k range earphone.

Binnen één dag al kapot.
De geluidskwaliteit is goed, maar helaas lag de eerste dag al na het eerste gebruik al een deel van de kabel bloot. Dus zal waarschijnlijk niet lang duren voordat deze gebroken is.

Excellent sound quality
Even better than my older expensive in-ear headphones. These are mainly used during flights and provide much clearer sound with good, tight bass (not the usual muffled rumble from 'bass-heavy' ones) and suppression of external noise. Very comfortable with the standard inserts so haven't had to try any of the others provided.

Good sound, but flaky leads
First the good news - the sound is great. The earbuds are loud, clear and unfussy - perfect for listening to rock music on the go.The problem is that the leads connecting the jack to the earbuds just fall apart. After a couple of months use, there are 9 splits in the lovely red coating over the 'tangle-free' wires - they're not tangle-free, by the way, but who cares? It's a shame. I really liked them when they arrived, but they're not going to last much longer. I'm running out of tape to patch them up and there'll soon be more tape than red, flaky covering, so I won't even be able to curl them into their stylish little zip-case.
