It is made from 100% safe, non-toxic, BPA free plastic

Q: How do you get the lid on. It’s impossible

I did manage to get it on after a struggle but when I needed to clean the litter out I couldn’t get it back off. My solution was to cut the darn hinges off with some wire cutters … a bit drastic but it’s a darn good litter tray now 🤣

Q: I’ve never understood the point of a filter on a box for cats to poop, I mean, who in the did right mind wants to let the awful smell out?

It's a charcoal filter that actually absorbs the smell. They do of course need to be changed regularly as with any other filter. Hope this helps.
