Buztronics Wireless Bicycle Turn Signal

This is a great idea that needs additional work. I bought this about 10 months ago for my wife. In that time, the plastic piece that holds it to the frame broke and the turn signal has stopped working. It no longer rechargeable. Since the plastic piece broke more than two months afetr I purchased it, Sharper Image and Buztronics deny any responsibility for the product. You are on your own. I managed to attache the device to the bike seat using my own materials and then the turn signal portion stopped working about 4 months later. I tried replacing the rechargeable battery in the turn signal portion of the device. You simply cannot find a replacement. Give the lack of interest of SI and Buztronics in helping me the first time around, I didn't bother a second time. So, $50 for 10 months of usable service. You decide.

I think this light is really handy; the turn indicators are more than good enough for use at dusk or night, which is when you'd most want to use it. And it has a handy beep, so you know that it's on. The red light is not that bright, so you won't want to get rid of your normal blinky red, but when you really want to be seen I've found the alert mods, where it flashes both amber indicators, is really effective for getting drivers' attention. They really notice blinking ambers.The glaring weakness of this product is the mounting system, otherwise I would have easily given it 5 stars. The mounting bracket is very cheap plastic and only capable of mounting on your seatpost. I just know it will break in short order, as other reviewers have identified it does indeed do. I chose to just zip tie it to my rear rack, but I really wish they had provided a second mounting method so I could double-screw it to the back of my rack, like where you often mount a reflector. That would have made this an easy 5 stars.Finally, the charging methods seems a little "janky," if you know what I mean. You plug it in, but the port is... odd, and doesn't scream reliability though it has worked fine for me so far.As it is, if you're willing to get creative with your mounting system (zip tie, p-clamp, etc.) this is a great buy, well worth the money.

I bought this one and attached it to my rear basket with zip ties. It is perfect for me when I commute around town by bike. The beeping lets me know which way the light is blinking. I like that part a lot. Cars come up beside me and tell me how cool the light is and when I lead rides, those behind me love how they can see which way I'm turning. Great item and very practical.

used it for the first time in the dark early this morning. very bright, easy to use. I just wish there was a way to turn off the 'beep'. Cars are not going to hear it with windows rolled up. Sounds so loud at 5am as i bike through sleepy residential areas...

Love this product. Works well. Big and bright signal. Careful if riding over many bumps; make sure it is secured tightly. Mine flew off my bike and the plastic that holds it to the back of the broke broke. Trying to find a way to fix it.

You have to have an excellent ear to hear the beeping noises it makes whenever you make a turn. Otherwise it is decent for the amount of money in order to use it.

I got this for my electric wheelchair and its perfect. I have headlight,tail lights and now turn signal and strobe, its rechargeable too.
