Q: What else do you need to operate this mic like a phantom power dac or something like that?

Hi Kari,You just need some piece of equipment with phantom power and a mic preamp built into it. That could be a recording interface for your computer, a mixer, a standalone preamp, or a recorder. Most modern interfaces and recorders have phantom power and mic preamps built into them. Q: Does it come with a shock mount and/or boxed?

A new one comes in a box with a zipper pouch and the screw-on plastic piece that is used to mount it on a mic stand. It does not come with a shock mount. It's a really well-built sturdy mic that sounds great!

Q: Can I connect this to the Focusrite Scarlett mixer using a xlr cable?

Yes, I had mine connected to the Focusrite solo.
