The best espresso grinder under $300
The media could not be loaded. TLDR: If you’re looking for a great espresso capable grinder, this is the best grinder under $350. Very fast grind time. Grinds very fine that will choke most machines at its lowest setting. Great grind consistency. Low retention if bellows are used. Best value grinder under $350.I bought this grinder after watching and reading reviews praising the performance. After 3 weeks of use, pulling about 3-5 shots daily, this machine has given me amazing results for a $150 grinder. It really is a DF64 in a plastic body. The internals are all metal, which is where it matters the most. I think you’d find it difficult to find a better bang for the buck than this grinder.Pros:- It grinds lightning fast (about 2g per sec).- make sure you align the burrs to find the zero point. If you do it correctly, (there are many videos on YT) you’ll realize this grinds very fine at its lowest. Espresso range is steps 1-20. I started at 10 and it choked my machine. Moved to 15 and still was very slow. I’m at 18-20 for most beans and pulls perfect 2:1 shots.- this has low retention as long as you use the bellows it comes with. I tested without bellows and it ate about .5-.7 of coffee. With the bellows, I consistently get .0-.1 off. Use the bellows.- this machine has legit metal 64mm burrs. And even more, they are fully swappable. Meaning you can buy this, swap the burrs for ssp burrs and it would still be cheaper than DF64.Cons:- it’s not a quiet grinder. It’s not the loudest either but having used Eureka in the past, this makes some noise that’s expected.- the body is plastic. Some may not like the look and feel. LED screen that serves its purpose but it nothing special. Not a big deal but it’s not exactly pretty as more expensive grinder can be on the counter.- the hopper and bellows are ugly. I’ve read the Eureka Atom single doser fits this but I haven’t gone down that road yet.- being a new product from a relatively unknown company, obvious concerns about longevity, repairs, and customer service are all there. They do include a 2 year warranty but have yet to see what that will look like when issues occur. 6-12 months from now I may be singing a different tune. Only time will tell.At $150 (price when I purchased) I don’t think there’s a better bang for the buck espresso grinder on the market. I’d recommend for any on a budget and wanting great espresso. 5*

Could be the Best inexpensive 64mm flat burr grinder on the market
If your are looking for a cheap 64mm grinder and don't want to spend $400,00 or more then this could be your go to grinder, this would be a good upgrade to the built in grinder on the Breville BBE and BE Pro, I bought a Eureka Mignon Facile 50mm espresso machine for $400.00 but got $20.00 when I bought it, the DF64 had just came out but had very little info at the time so I went with the Facile with my Breville Barista Pro and now with my Mara X that I have had for a year but I also saw the Shardor grinder on Tom's channel and also on Hoon's channel and was intrigued in the grinder and that SSP burrs might work, so far I am happy with the grinder, one review said they could grind for espresso which the first time I try grinding on #10 espresso on adjustment dail it choked my Mara X, it took me three time to get adjustment right I'm on setting 22 which is the Moke range on dial and I can't see how you could adjust to zero point on dail , I doing 19g in 48 to 50g out of local roasted Guatemalan 30sec at 9bar, the Shardor is twice fast as my Facile grinding and seems to be just as quiet. The Good: The price I pick up for $140.00 U.S. I think $160-$170 now, grinder is quiet, grinder is fast, the quality of the grind is very good, the built in grind timer works well, it has it's own catch cup or you can use the supplied porifilter fork, it has a main power button on the side and a Start/Stop button under grinder shoot where you would use Portifilter or catch cup to push button. A plus is it looks like SSP Burrs will fit this grinder. The Bad: The rubber matt that goes under catch cup does not stay in place I use double-side tape to hold it in place, there will be grind retention, I have not tried RTD yet because I don't use it with my Eureka grinder, but so far the retention seem very little doing single dose, the plastic housing seems cheap, if you use the hopper and bellow that come with machine and you single dose when using bellow the shut off gate in hopper bangs around had to duct tape gate open, I have new bellow coming for my grinder, this is a new grinder so longevity could become an issue.Overall: I think if this grinder would have been available when I bought my Eureka grinder and now that I know more about espresso I would have gotten the Shardor Professional 64mm Burr Coffee Grinder. So if you are looking to get an inexpensive 64mm flat burr grinder this could be the ticket. I would recommend this grinder. Who knows this could just be a hidden DF64 in a plastic case :)

Great Product
Feels high end to me, like it’s going to last. Perfect grounds of different sizes, less noise and easy to use. However, it feels weird and fun smacking the top just to shake out ground residue.

Extremely good bur grinder extremely good value
This is the fourth bar grinder. I’ve owned in my lifetime and to tell you the truth it is my favorite one I’ve ever owned. My most recent Bird grinder was a Breville and while this doesn’t have all the fancy electronically.it’s built extremely well where it matters. The grind is extremely consistent as well as not making a mess on my kitchen as the feed tube works very well with the system and puts the grains where they’re supposed to go!The other item that I’m extremely pleased with is when I measure out my 22 g for my aero press and grind the beans I have almost no loss due to the design of the top where you can clear the grinder extremely well.In addition, I have used it to do some grinds for espresso shots and it’s done an extremely great job on this as well.I am definitely looking forward to many years of use out of this grinder and would definitely buy again.
