Quite simply, it works! And great price!
I must say, yes I was skeptical to buy this... but for the price why not right? I have used this with my mac, I have also used this with my mac running parallels to work with some free DMX programs.Yes it takes a little to get it working, and some trial and error. But when it works. It works. The light is bright, but like another said you can cover it if you don't like it.I have use this wired straight to lights and daisy chained, I have also used it with the wireless donner system. Both worked great.I am currently about to buy another one. This time a shorter cable as I did not realize I long of a cable I bought the first time.My current set up for lighting is using my mac with lightkey and wireless donner DMX. It works great!I hope this helps someone!

Dongle works... Almost
I use these dongles with QLC+ on a Macbook to moving head lights. It worked fine except about every 30 secs. it would "flicker". Just on a hunch, I logged off all the other users I had active and then it worked without flicker. When I connected a DMXKing to the same setup, I didn't see any of the flicker, no matter how many users/applications I had running. Although this would probably work, I needed a DMX Dongle that was rock solid so I paid the extra money for a DMXKing. As always... Your Mileage May Vary...

Stopped working after second use
Mine stopped working after two uses. At first it worked great with QLC+ on my mac. Took a bit of work to figure it out, but once I got the dmx out working, I could easily program and use my moving head lights. After two uses, my lights stopped getting a good signal.I've got two identical moving heads and each has the same problem, so the issue is either with QLC+ or the dongle. There's a little red light on the panel of my moving heads that turns on when it's receiving dmx signal. When I enable and disable the dmx out in QLC+, the aforementioned panel light blinks, indicating it's getting a signal for a millisecond. Something is wrong with the signal getting to the lights properly, and I've concluded that it's because of the dongle.I guess I got what I paid for.

No Rasperry Pi Support?
It didn't work out of the box with my Python code on a Raspberry Pi. It might work with different Python code. I would check the documentation but there wasn't any. I'd check their website but no URL was given. It included a mini CD-ROM that may have had documentation on it, but I didn't want to risk putting a mini CD-ROM into a front loading drive. It's a good thing they saved three cents on that disc though. And yes, I realize it doesn't specify it will work with a Raspberry PI, but it does say it will work with a PC and a Raspberry Pi is a tiny PC. Luckily Amazon has free returns so I can try out products with no documentation.

Its cheap.....you get what you pay for
I bought this product just for fun. It's $15 so I didn't have high hopes. It is great if you need to test some lights at home but, if you plan on using this in a production setting it will fail.First, it would randomly lose power in the middle of a show. Now, it don't even work at all. If you going to do anything with lights spend the extra money on a nice product.

What utter garbage
From the completely incoherent gibberish description to the awful knockoff XLR connector. Barely works with simple control software, and completely undocumented. This stuff is a blight upon the world.
