Must-have! Works well for poultry!
Must-have in your vet-med cabinet! I bought this to treat my young pullet after an unfortunate incident involving an aggressive turkey (pullet got scalped, tore the skin off the entire top of her head including part of her left eyelid and ear). It's been about 4 weeks, and the skin is 80% regenerated and is even slowly regrowing feathers. This hydro-gel was the most important part of the treatments I provided every 12 hours. I would disinfect with Veterycin antimicrobial spray, douse the wound in a pountry wound healing aid spray, and coat it all with this hydro-gel to keep it moist and disinfected for extended periods of time.It gels up quick and stays moist well when the wound is kept indoors (it dries into a white residue if outdoors, so you need to reapply more often). The fact that it is antimicrobial is very nice, it is convenient and effective. Also no risk of attracting flies/insects like in the case of using honey (or manuka honey) to coat the wounds.

Must-Have for Every Animal Owner!
We always keep a bottle of Vetericyn Plus on hand—it’s a lifesaver for quick and safe wound care. We’ve used it on small cuts and scrapes on our chickens and dog, and it works fast without any stinging or irritation. It’s easy to spray, doesn’t have a strong smell, and we’ve seen great results with healing. It gives us peace of mind knowing we can treat minor injuries right away. Every pet owner (or chicken keeper!) should have this in their kit.

Saved my dog
My senior dog has been dealing with old-dog-warts for years. One on the back of his head suddenly exploded in size (went from pea to cherry size in 2 wks!). All my normal tricks only seemed to make the wart grow even bigger, it would bleed, scab, then bleed and scab.. this minor issue turned into a complete nightmare.Vet told us removal would be not just be extremely pricey ($1600), but also very high risk due to his age.Went on an Amazon hunt and came across Vetericyn. Started applying it daily and the giant bump started to slowly shrink. After about a month of usage (a full bottle) I realized the ROOT of the wart had to be attacked.. Got a 2nd bottle of Vetericyn, sprayed it religiously 3-4 times/day, now only on the root of the wart where it was 'attached' to his head. It started shrinking infront of my eyes. Every morning the root got thinner and thinner. And yesterday it came off ! I could seriously cry tears of joy. Best part is, his skin has already scabbed over and shows almost no sign of where this ugly thing has been attached for months.A million THANK YOUs ! I will keep this on hand forever and ever.- Keep in mind you have to be patient. I had to apply this several times a day for 2 months, didnt give up and it finally paid off.

Amazing to help clear up Cat's blackhead/ acne on chin
I am very impressed with this product. Actually I just ordered my second bottle so I decided to write a review after using it for couple months on my cat. I only used it for clearing up my cat's blackhead problem on his chin. Before using this product, I have tried soap water, green tea, alcohol, pads specific for cat blackhead. None of them worked. As a matter of fact, it was getting worse and looked all black and red and swollen. It was probably itchy and bothering him because Chairman peed on the floor couple times and he was constantly trying to scratch his chin.I was so desperate that I was about to take him to the vet when I saw a post a breeder (I recently got a kitten Matcha from her) that she always keep a bottle of Vetericyn Wound & Skin Care Hydrogel around the house. I asked her if she has used it for blackhead/acne and she said it should work. So I got a bottle immediately. The first thing I noticed is the scent. I can't notice too much of it but cats are a lot more sensitive to scents. Chairman is actually not resistant of it when I put it on comparing to everything else I tried. As a matter of fact, my kitten Matcha likes it so much that he licked the bottle every time I put it on Chairman. I started by spraying on my finger tip, rub it on Chairman and wipe if off with paper tower and repeat as many times as possible till it clears up.The first time I used it, I saw a bunch of little black spots coming off his chin on the paper towel and it is a light yellow color (grease from his chin). What I have found effective is to warm Chairman's chin with a hot towel so pores on his chin open up. Then I apply the spray. After a few uses, he must know it is good for him and he would actually turn his head around so I could clean different areas. Eventually, he is even ok with me spraying on his chin directly. I always give him treat right after so he has a positive association with the spray knowing he is awarded by acting good when I put stuff on him. After 4-6 weeks, I saw major improvements on his chin that one side of it is almost cleared up completely though the other side is more severe. It would have cleared up faster if I kept cleaning his chin twice a day (one in the morning and one at night). So please do that if time allows. After consistent use of the spay for more than 2 month, Chairman's chin is about 80%-90% cleared up with some minor blackhead spot left still. I have no doubt it will go away, just take time to get rid of the last little bit.Other things I was doing at the same time: I clean his ceramic bowl everyday and I also switched his can food and dry food to have a lower fat %.I didn't see many reviews of this product regarding treating blackhead/ acne so I decided to write this one. I have never thought blackhead would be so hard to get rid of but hopefully this gives you some insight/ tips on how to deal with it. Thank you for this amazing product.
