Got use to the red spray
Is'm still waiting to re-oil my new blue filter. I was expecting a blue spray can of oil like the red from the competetor. I think the bottle applicator will work just fine and so far I'm pleased with the Cold Air Kit on my RAM. Just a bit louder tone than stock but not as loud as past kits from the other guy. Engine feels more responsive and fuel mileage after 10K is slightly improved most noticeable on the highway. It looks more complete and a cleaner installation than the other guys kit

Love the spray bottle!
Good product that you can spray into the filter. I found it easier to re-oil the filter and had a more control over coverage and could just hit spots again that needed more oil without worrying about over oiling

I dismissed the concerns of the oil not being in ...
I dismissed the concerns of the oil not being in spray form as overblown. Not so after using this. The instructions clearly say to put a bead of oil on each pleat, after fully drying and cleaning the filter, and giving 20 minutes for the oil to wick into the filter. I was thorough in cleaning and drying, allowing several days of sun drying on my non-DD car. I carefully placed the bead. No luck in complete wicking, only minor. Another bead. More time. Then, following instructions, added drops to areas not covered. In time, the filter was pockmarked with areas oiled and unoiled. After maddening attemps and re-attempts, I put the filter in place. A few days later I noticed a large oil drop spot under my car. Damn if the oil hadn't been leeching from the filter and dripping out of the CAI box. It's difficult to not over oil and difficult to get full coverage, plain and simple.

Easily over done
don't apply too much oil! It is really easy to add too much oil. Be patient and it will soak it up. it would be better as a spray.
