Resin Casting Powder 1000g, Fast Curing Eco Resin Casting Kit
I'm not sure if it is true "eco resin" but it is a fun alternative to epoxy resin. I added color with some pigments and they mixed in well. It worked in molds well and was fun to play with. Sometimes I like the mor opaque look compared to clear resin so this was a good way to achieve that.

Overall, my daughter loves this product, and there is a lot to love about it. Clean up, for a start. Unlike resin, this can be cleaned up with soap and water, and my daughter doesn't need to use safety gloves when working with it. It cures quickly, demolding in just an hour with no problems, and it is a great option for her larger molds which need higher volume than she wants to mess with from resin. There are, of course, a few drawbacks, but most of those are just "things to note", not fatal flaws.- As it states in the packaging, this material won't work well with items that are overly small. It is durable, and nothing has cracked from being dropped or handled roughly, but when she tried to cast a key with it, the material just wasn't thick enough to hold up. It really works better with larger pieces (at least 1/4" thickness), though it cast a few small jewels just fine that didn't have any small parts sticking out from the sides the way the key had.- The finished, cured piece is not waterproof, and powder will wear off around the edges with handling. We needed to seal the pieces with a glaze as we would with any clay, but diamond art sealant and clay sealant both work fine. Once sealed, the pieces were completely durable, but they did require that step.- We've so far found coloring the resin pre-casting very difficult. Alcohol ink and acrylic paint both failed to do much of anything, as both ended up rising to the top and pooling during the curing time, separating from the piece. There's a tiny bit of blue alcohol ink swirl in the small dome piece imaged, and there's a faint pink speckling on a few pieces from acrylic paint, but neither experiment was successful enough to try twice. Mica powder was more successful - the more colorful turtle imaged was a painted mold - but you can see the pits and craters in his finish where the mica powder was thicker and just stayed stuck to the mold, as opposed to the other who has a smooth finish. Ultimately, my daughter found it much easier to just cast the pieces in white and paint them afterwards.- The working time on this is very short. Once you start mixing the 2 parts together, you've got maybe 10 minutes to be finished, and you need to stop and stir every 1-2 minutes while pouring lest the parts separate in the cup and you end up with the plaster all at the bottom. Within 5-10 minutes of having been poured, it's starting to cure - you can usually see hardening on the first piece by the time we've poured the final one. We find it easiest to work in small batches on this account, and rarely make more than 1 3:10 ratio at a time. Have all of your molds, including the ones you're using for leftover material, set up and ready to go before you start mixing this, as you won't have time to go looking for anything else.- Measure carefully, and read carefully. Both times I've tried this, I've gotten the measurements flipped the first time around (more water than powder, instead of the correct more powder than water). That's a mistake you want to catch BEFORE you mix them together, while it's still recoverable. And you will need a digital scale in grams to use this - both water and plaster need to be weighed carefully. I've had no issues at all with curing so long as I've got my measurements correct, however. It's nowhere near as touchy as epoxy, and there's no limited time on measuring like there is with some other chemical components. The individual components are stable until mixed - take your time measuring and you're fine.- Mix very carefully, use a stiff instrument, and be sure you're scraping the bottom. This plaster likes to settle. Keep scraping the bottom and stirring until you're pouring, and pause to scrape every minute or 2. The material itself is the consistency of water even once mixed, and very easy to pour, but you won't notice it has separated until it's too late.- Beware of trapped bubbles. Because it's so thin, this does pour relatively cleanly, but if you do have a trapped bubble in a detailed area at the bottom of the mold, it will leave a hole in your cast. Unlike resin, it's solid colored and you can't see through it to know the bubbles are there and get rid of them. Tapping your mold after filling can help, but careful pouring on detailed areas is your best bet.Overall, it's a great product that we love, and very useful for young crafters, particularly those who are not yet mature enough to work with epoxy. The 1000g bag goes a long way, and considering how many pieces you can get from it, I think the price is more than fair. We've already bought it again, and I would highly recommend.

Crafty, Cozy, and So Much Fun: My New Favorite At-Home Creative Outlet
As someone who genuinely loves staying busy with little at-home projects—especially during the colder months when Oregon weather makes outdoor plans less-than-ideal—this Resin Casting Powder kit has quickly become one of my favorite finds. It’s not just a crafting material; it’s a whole vibe.Right off the bat, I appreciated how user-friendly this kit is. I’m no professional artist, just someone who enjoys DIY and finding joy in creating things with my hands. The instructions were super clear, and the water-activated powder mixes easily with no fuss. I didn’t need any fancy tools or prior experience to get started, which made jumping in feel exciting rather than intimidating. One of the best parts? It cures fast. I’m talking 20-30 minutes from pouring to demolding. That instant gratification is perfect for keeping the creative energy flowing—and, let’s be real, for impatient people like me who don’t want to wait hours (or days!) to see how a project turned out. The results were so satisfying—smooth, solid, and ready to paint, decorate, or admire. The quantity is super generous too—3000g goes a long way, and I’ve already made several small sculptures, decorative trays, coasters, and a few fun ornaments. I’ve even started experimenting with adding pigments and little dried flowers for extra flair. It’s turned into a full-on hobby I look forward to, and it keeps my hands (and my imagination) busy on rainy afternoons. And bonus: it doesn’t have a strong smell, it sets clean, and it’s eco-friendly, which makes me feel even better about using it around the house. If you’re into DIY crafts, home art, or just want a new way to unwind and stay creative, this resin casting kit is so worth it. Whether you're a beginner or just looking for a no-stress weekend project, this one’s a gem.

Just Average.
Pros: Smooth finish, easy to work with, doesn't clump.Cons: Does not mix well with pigments specifically made for eco resins and cures a little too quickly leaving very little work time
