6 pounds force makes a big difference.
This unit is a 20 lb force extended. The one it replaced was a 14 lb force unit that sometimes allowed the door to close in a strong wind. It holds the door open in a gale but now I must make sure I have a hold of the door as it opens or it might snap the studs. Its much better then having the door hit you in the head in a wind storm.
