No it will only pick up leaves with a rotary sweeping action.

Q: Is this manual or electric?

This is manual, it's not bad, if the leaves are dry they tend to miss the bin, but it clears 85% of the leaves, hope this helps

Q: Will it pick up sycamore seeds?

Don't see why not, picks up most of leaves and small twigs. Of course, imperative to use when leaves are dry, and on a windless day. Certainly helps if you have back trouble, though you still have to lift hopper and empty into... whatever. Its a handy garden gadget, quite easy to push along. Not quite as efficient as a lawn rake, as you have to do quite a few repeat sweeps to clear the lawn, but once again, it's a back saver.

Q: How well does this work on wet grass with wet leaves?

Not bad. The wheels can slip a bit. It’s quite hard work!
