Strong, But Small
This skate-board is actually really small, my 7yo could just about get both feed on it comfortably, so bear that in mind. It's definitely aimed at younger children. The board itself is made of plywood, several layers thick and very strong with no flex. It's quite sturdy, as is the rest of the build. The wheels themselves are not exceptionally free-wheeling, which means this isn't going to be a fast board, which is exactly what you'd want for a starter board.I think for £13, it's really decent, I just wish it could be a little wider - I feel it's a little too narrow.

Small Board, Big Fun
The 17" Atom Maple Skateboard is a solid pick for kids and teens looking to roll into the world of skateboarding with ease. Whether they’re just starting out or already perfecting their tricks, this board delivers a smooth, stable ride that's built to last. The deck’s wide surface offers plenty of room to find your balance, and the non-slip grip ensures your feet stay firmly in place.Equipped with 3” PP trucks and PVC wheels, this board handles the bumps and scrapes of everyday skating with ease. The 608Z bearings keep things rolling smoothly, offering the kind of glide that’s perfect for cruising the streets or zipping around a skatepark. It’s a great value for money, made with high-quality materials that can stand up to daily use while still offering comfort and stability. Whether you’re practising stunts or just out for a relaxed skate, this Atom board does the job. Definitely a solid choice for young riders looking for their first proper board or those wanting something that’s both fun and functional.Highly recommended for any budding skateboarder!

Not for all ages
Great skating board for little ones. Though listing states that it is for all ages - it is not. It can hold weight up to 20 kg. Board feels sturdy, and rides well. But it is rather small for my 10 year old.

Nice quality first board or 'stumpy-stunt' board
First, it’s important to note that this is a Stumpy, so it’s not a regular-size skateboard. It’s great for young kids to earn on, as it’s easy to control and the wheels aren’t too fast, but I got this for my nephew who’s fourteen, because I know a lot of the older kids use these ‘Stumpies’ as stunt boards that they can carry everywhere very easily, tucking them into their school rucksack and the like. They ride them with just one foot on the board at any given moment, and they love them because they have a tiny turning circle, and the wheels are usually set to be a bit slower for stunts. So this is kind of a multi-use thing. So…given that, I’m now quoting his use of it over the last week. The plywood board is nice, with a printed underside and a full-board grip-sheet on the deck. Atom’s a very well known and respected skateboard brand (they make a lot of longboards as well), so he liked that the logo was printed on the deck, too. The wheels were set up to be a little slower than standard, which I would imagine would make it great for younger kids to keep their balance easier, but for older kids using this for stunts, it offers exactly the same, meaning that although the board goes slowly they have a lot of control, and as I said before, it has a tiny turning circle for stunts. He did say that he’d end up changing out the wheels for something that he could ‘stunt’ on, but all in all it got the shrug of reluctant acknowledgment, and he didn’t want to give it back, so…win?!I’d say if you’re getting this for a younger kid it would be pretty good, too, although I don’t think I’d be willing to put a 3-year old on it, as the ad suggests! And helmet, knee and elbow pads, and especially wrist braces, are an absolute must! But yes, for the price this is a really decent quality little board.
