Q: My ears rub the drivers with the OEM pads, are these thicker than those?

Yes it is thicker than the original earpads. You can check the dimensions of this earpads in the 5th picture of the product description.

Q: Do the replacements come with a removal tool?

No they don't. We don't have removal tool in any of our replacement earpads. Most of the original earpads can be remove just by using your bare hands or using a non sharp butter knife. I suggest that you watch our installation video of Sony Pulse 3D Earpads so you will be guided on how to install/uninstall the earpads.
