Great hardware for a great price
The 8845HS is a good mix of powerful single cores and enough hardware threads to deliver good parallel performance. It has a decent integrated graphics card (780M) that is light on the battery, so you can actually get a good battery life if you don't plan to activate the RTX 4070 while on the go. The 2024 model doesn't have a hinge issue like the older models. The default charger is bulky. USB-C PD charging is available, but only at 100W, 20V x 5A. Most USB-C chargers out there cannot supply this power in the desired configuration. If you plan to travel and you don't want to pack the bulky charger, make sure you find a compatible USB-C charger first (which will also work with your phone).
