Full of lots of strange but interesting facts!
This Weird but true! book really does delivery on that promise and has page after page of strange and interesting facts! There's a mix of shorter, quick fire facts and longer facts that are more of a story and share background such as stars and deep-sea creatures. I love that all facts have a related picture too. It really does bring to life the book for my boys.Whilst aimed at children. There are a lot of words, so definitely more for the older child. I was able to read this with my son, but there was definitely more support that was needed. It's presented really nicely as a hard back book too making it the perfect gift or display piece!

Weird but true! 2025:
My 8 and 11 year olds love this series of books, they can spend hours looking through it and running over to show us various pictures, facts and stories. If you have children above the age of 6 I would say that you are onto a winner with this. They don’t have to engage in long stories that they could lose interest in. The book can just be picked up and scanned through random pages for even just a few minutes. In the nicest possible way this could also fall into the category of a toilet book, for those that read in the toilet (we don’t) but you can open it at any page and just ready for 2 or 3 minutes.Top quality and great value for money

Colourful and informative
This boom is ever so colourful. It is very informative and provides many interesting facts. It is very appealing to children, however grown ups might find interesting information as well. Once my child saw this book she straight away wanted to read it, and no encouragement was required! Great book.

Good fact book aimed at a younger audience
I ordered this book for my daughter as she loves to read but also finds things like this fascinating. The book is a nice sized hard cover book with over 250 colourful pages with plenty of images and photos to go with the text.I've been going through the book with her and whilst it's aimed at a younger audience it's been teaching me a few things too and is therefore also an interesting read for adults. The quality of the book and overall appearance is excellent and what you'd expect from National Geographic, although I have discovered a couple of grammatical errors which to be honest shouldn't exist in a book of this calibre. Each page has interesting facts that certainly live up to the title and are sometimes quite unbelievable but I think with some of the facts the information provided is a little on the sparse side and I would have liked to see more depth to some of the items being written about. Overall though this is a great addition to my daughter's book shelf and gets a big thumbs up for teaching us some things we never knew. Highly recommended.

Good print, love it
Highly engaging and entertaining, the book is hard backed and printed with high quality full colour photos. The facts are very varied, from facts about animals and sports to planes. Lots to learn and encourage the child to be curious about the world. There are 243 pages in total, however it's quite heavy so younger children might struggle to hold it.Would recommend, great for older children and adults too.
