Surprisingly Impressive for a budget telescope
I wasn’t expecting much when I ordered this telescope on a whim from Amazon, but wow—I’ve been pleasantly surprised.Right out of the box, the setup was pretty straightforward. I didn’t need to be an expert or have any fancy tools. The build quality is solid for the price, and once I got the hang of aligning everything, I was able to get some incredible views of the moon. (I’ve attached some of the shots I managed to capture through my phone lens—they speak for themselves!)I used an iPhone app to track the celestial objects in the sky and could also see Jupiter and its moons (Europa, Io, and Ganymede) The texture of its surface isn’t visible but for the price, I’m not complaining. The image clarity was better than I expected for an entry-level scope. Craters and surface details on the moon were crisp, and focusing was surprisingly easy after a bit of trial and error. I used it in my backyard where there’s a bit of light pollution, and it still performed well. The finderscope needs a little tweaking to line up perfectly, but once you get it aligned, it makes things a lot easier. One thing I will say—don’t expect miracles with deep-sky objects. This telescope shines with the moon and planets, but stars and galaxies are a stretch unless you’re in a dark sky area. Still, for the price, it’s a fantastic intro to stargazing and makes you appreciate what’s up there. If you’re looking to dip your toes into astronomy or just want something fun and functional for moon-gazing, I’d definitely recommend this one. Just be patient, take your time learning how to use it, and you’ll be rewarded.

Great Intro to Stargazing!
The package arrived on time and in perfect condition. All the separate items were included inside the carry case as shown on the instruction manual. The manual is a no nonsense diagrammatic guide that is easy to follow.I’m a completely inexperienced amateur astronomer. If you’re like me then I suggest you do a lot of reading online about how to begin with stargazing which I hadn’t done. After doing your due diligence I suggest you join a local astronomy club. Club members are usually eager to share their equipment to get newbies interested. After experiencing your first couple stargazing events (usually free) you will know what kind of equipment you want and how much you need to spend. If your budget is not that generous then you can go with this telescope. It has 3 different eye pieces that allows you to peer further into the sky. However, the more the magnification the harder it gets to focus the lens. Be open to spending some time in learning or tinkering with the various screws. You will get an idea of the effort that goes into looking at things. Even though I couldn't really see what I wanted, I really loved the trial and error method of trying to look at something. I hooked up my phone to the mount and installed the suggested app. It guided me to peer into the correct parts of the sky. If you keep your mind open, I think you'll enjoy this first experience with the sky.

Value for money
I recently purchased the HETEKAN 90mm Aperture 900mm Refractor Telescope, and it has exceeded all my expectations! As an amateur astronomer, I was looking for a high-quality telescope that’s user-friendly for both adults and kids, and this one delivers. The 90mm large aperture provides stunningly clear and bright images of the Moon and planets, with the fully multi-coated lenses ensuring crisp details and vibrant colors. The 36X-450X magnification range, paired with the three eyepieces and 3x Barlow lens, allows for incredible versatility, whether I’m observing lunar craters or distant celestial objects.Setup was a breeze thanks to the detailed guide, and the adjustable tripod is sturdy and flexible, offering smooth 360-degree horizontal and 180-degree vertical movement. The included phone adapter is a fantastic bonus, letting me capture photos of my observations to share with friends. The 5x24 finder scope made locating objects in the sky so much easier, even for a beginner like me.What sets this telescope apart is the quality and thoughtful design—every component feels durable and well-crafted. The customer support team was also incredibly responsive when I had a question about setup. Whether you’re a seasoned stargazer or just starting out, this telescope is a fantastic investment for exploring the night sky. Highly recommend!

Not for a beginner, but quality of telescope seems good
We bought this telescope since my husband and I have always wanted one and have never had one before. From the reviews, I anticipated this being a beginner telescope, very easy to use and catch some great images from not just the telescope, but also the smartphone adapter. The nice carrying bag was good and if we moved the telescope around, it was very light. I do want to note that this has been returned, because we gave it a bit of time to figure things out.The instructions left out some key details. One example is when I first put the telescope on the tripod stand, it kept flipping back, as if it wasn't being held in place. There was not anywhere in the instructions that said to use the long lever to turn to tighten it (figured this out on my own). The seller has stated that this has been corrected in the manual.I did my best to try to figure out the smartphone adapter and eventually gave up, as I could not be successful at it. Not sure if it's because of the type of phone that I have (an iPhone 15 Pro Max) but I was not willing to be patient to figure it out since it seemed as if it should have been a lot easier to put together. We read the directions several times to try and get a view of the moon through the telescope and this unfortunately never happened. It was like something was blocking the view, even though it wasn't, and we did remove the lens cover on the end. We could use one of the lens without the telescope to see some up-close visuals of the moon which was pretty cool, but it would have been better if the full moon was in view and not just a super up-close visual of certain parts of the moon.
