This is a great, very small camera for a stationary, unchanging situation. The visual quality is excellent. The camera comes with two mounting choices (at an angle or flat) which is helpful. The camera is designed for a fixed location situation, not for use in a situation where camera movement or angle changes are needed. The focus, zoom and exposure controls are all on the lens and are designed to be set, locked (using little thumb screws) and left alone. The camera output is HDMI or USB-c (two choices). The camera does not require any special software. It works perfectly with the standard Quicktime app which every computer has. The camera is also compatible with most other standard free software programs. I plugged the camera into my Mac laptop and had a perfect picture in seconds....truly plug and play. Very easy.

The lens is mounted to a collar that screws into the body. The lens was loose in the collar. There is no obvious adjustment to tighten this, and what passes for a manual has no mention of any mechanical feature of the system whatsoever.Turns out that by tightening the wide/tele screw, I could hold the wide/tele screw and use it to screw the lens far enough into the collar to have a working system.But for what I paid, it's not reasonable to have zero instructions and a partially-assembled product.Depth of focus is shallower than I would have hoped. Bought a fixed-focus system to avoid distracting focus hunting during presentation, but even stopped down ("close/open") to nearly the lowest aperture (no F-stop numbers provided), the DoF is still fairly narrow.

You could sort of use this as a webcam but because of the manual adjustments normally required I would use this for industrial monitoring of equipment. It has an excellent 4K resolution and zoom that is manually adjusted. This camera would be an excellent choice for many hobby projects. You can even swap the lenses on this. Be aware that all adjustments are manual from zoom to brightness to focus. Once you have it set you are good to go for fixed focal projects or projects that allow you to manually adjust these settings. In most places just plug this camera in and go.
