Pure silk and genuine quality

Arrived promptly and popped them into the washing machine on the silk cycle. Washed well and line dried. Needed no ironing. In all this heat we have been having I expected a coolness. Not sure how I feel about them as we usually have high thread count Egyptian cotton and I think we do prefer our usual bedding to the silk pillowslips. Having said this however, they are comfortable to sleep on and will continue to wash and use them over the summer to see whether we change our minds. I am sure others will love them. We like them but don't love them!

I needed a new silk pillow after years of the same one that had worn out. Lilly Silk Pillows are just amazing - super soft and the ivory colour is lovely. It comes packaged in a little square box in tissue paper (lovely for a gift) and the quality is perfect. You know it is genuine silk by the feel of it - there are various others that claim to be real silk but I am dubious of their claims as the texture is so different. If you are looking for smoothe hair in the morning without frizz then I HIGHLY recommend these. I have also purchased for my daughters (2 and 8yrs old) who have super curly and knotted hair usually in the mornings. Since using these their hair has been so much nicer and we don't have to have the morning crying when combing their hair. My youngest also has bad allergies in the summer and since sleeping on these I can say she does not wake up sniffly and has a much better sleep overnight. Really recommend these - I know they are slightly more expensive than others but you get the genuine product and quality which you can't beat.

My teenage son is really struggling with bad acne and for the past year he has been sleeping with satin pillowcases as he had read up a lot about the benefits to your skin (and hair) compared to cotton cases. He feels they have made a big difference but he then wanted to try a silk pillowcase to compare it to the cheaper satin pillowcases he has been using. He now much prefers the silk pillowcase over the satin, he feels that it is cooler on his skin than the satin, as the satin is nan made from synthetic material. Although these are over double the price of a satin pillowcase it is worth the difference it makes to your hair and skin. The only downside is the silk pillowcases crease so much easier than satin

I have purchased pyjamas for myself and a family member directly from Lilysilk in the past which took a few weeks to arrive. The latest purchase of thes pillowcases arrived the next day thanks to Amazon delivery. I have used the pillowcases on new pillows and must admit these are superior to my Egyptian Cotton pillowcases as they keep my face cool and look great on my bed. I have hand washed the cases and with a steam iron they look as good as when they first arrived in the smart packaging along with a small silk handkerchief gift. I recommend Lilyslk products highly, the quality is excellent and the attention to detail is exceptional. From the silk cover buttons on my pyjamas to the piping on the pockets these are for a lifetime and the most comfortable sleepwear I own. I actually have two pairs now, the white and the navy blue which have worked in both the winter and summer months. Again, highly recommend this company and they products they manufacture and sell directly.

I've been using silk pillows for a few years now, as I suffer from psoriasis on my face, and wanted a more gentle fabric than cotton for my pillowcase. This Lilysilk one is my third silk pillowcase.It compares well with the others at first. The presentation box is a nice touch if you're planning on gifting it to someone else. I use Tempur pillows, which are slightly larger than regular ones, and it fitted onto that nicely. Certainly a generous fit.I wash mine once a week, on the gentle cycle of my washing machine, and either hang it outside on the line, or dry it inside on a rack. It has a few creases, but nothing awful, and certainly nothing which could transfer a crease to your skin.Sadly, I will be binning mine after just six months, as the stitching next to the logo has failed completely, leaving exposed threads. I would try re-stitching it, but because the fabric has frayed so badly, and looks like it's overlocked internally, I would be losing a good few centimetres of fabric on that one patch to level up the hem line. What a shame.

Using a silk pillow has definitely improved the quality of my sleep. My hair and skin is less dry and the morning ‘ tatty head’ look has been abolished leading to a longer period between washing. This has also helped towards the condition of my hair. This was an experimental purchase hence the cost was a major issue. Product gives excellent value.
