Balls do no knock more than 30 seconds
Balls don't sustain the knocking for more than 30 seconds no matter how far you swing the first ball. I'm sending it back immediately.

Lovely & nostalgic, but NOT a 50-second swing
I ordered this for my son’s office, hoping he would enjoy the simple yet elegant nostalgic desk décor – we had one of these when he as a youngster. It was well-packaged and well-made. I was impressed that the packaging managed to prevent tangling of the lines holding the metal balls. The wooden base is beveled and quite sturdy and attractive, while all the metal parts are shiny and solid. The only complaint my son has is that the balls are too small relative to the rest of the Newton’s Cradle. This results in the swing-time being much shorter than it would be if the balls were larger/heavier. It definitely does NOT have a 50-second swing-time.

A Tangled Mess—No Motion, Just Frustration!
We were so excited to gift our son a Newton’s Cradle for Christmas, but what we got instead was a tangled conundrum. The fishing-line strings are so thin and nearly invisible that it’s impossible to make sense of the mess it came in.After weeks of trying (with help from at least seven different people), we still haven’t been able to untangle it. The good news? Our son got an unexpected brain-challenging puzzle. The bad news? He still doesn’t have a functional Newton’s Cradle.Do not expect to pull this out of the box and have it ready to use. We’re deeply disappointed and wish we’d gone with a more user-friendly version. This purchase is definitely not in motion for us.

Distracting but fun.
This pendulum is so fun, but somtetimes it gets me into trouble. It can be so distracting so I have to hide it at times. I do think it is a great addition to my desk. It looks very nice.

Kind of small in size, works great though
The media could not be loaded. This pendulum works as it’s supposed to, and has been a great tool (and toy) for my grandson. He has been watching in fascination what happens when you use one ball, two balls, etc.The pendulum has a wooden base with metal support posts. The individual metal balls are held on by what appears to be a thin fishing line.So far, it has provided hours of entertainment, and my grandson hasn’t tired of playing with it yet.
