Q: How is the neck cork? Is it easy to slide the mouthpiece on?

No the mouthpiece is not easy to slide on

Q: What repairs or adjustments will it need in the first six weeks of playing?

Pads will start leaking, needing timing adjustments (sanding of the adjustment materials) as well as pad floating. While it played great first out of the box, after a month it has a terrible time hitting low D.

Q: How does it play two weeks after unboxing, like after the clamps have been released and everything can relax?

My 15 year old daughter has had zero issues with her sax. She says everything works perfectly. I love listening to her practice with it. She plays both alto and soprano sax and these are great instruments! Would definitely recommend!
