Excellent survival knife
Mine came as a new knife. These are big, thick knives. With care it should last forever.

Great knife but could have done without the high gloss finishing
This must have been a display tang and was coated in high gloss I have another from years ago no gloss and have not seen any others like this

British tank of a knife.
Yes it's heavy after awhile of carry but this knife will get the job done with no worries. Yes you might have to put a sharp edge to it. But it is carbon. Once sharp don't touch. I had 2 when I lived in U.K. Now I have another one. And won't get rid of this one.

thickest & heaviest 'knife' i know of
super heavy super thick , but the excellent handle design of rock solid tough material (entire knife is rock solid / tough) gives you a real good grip on it to manuever that heavy weight . that said when you read people say this is a pry bar with an edge thats what this is , its a great all around camp tool that you carry in your pack for outdoor adventures while also carrying a smaller knife for cutting because you chop / dig / scrape / pry / hammer with this but only cut or chop heavy stuff like rope or twigs with it . i really like it and might give it a 5 after i take one through rough usage , but it aint a knife its a camp / survival tool to be carried in pack because its too heavy to wear on belt unless your just sitting around a camp site . the sheaths thin and wont last long . the down side on my knife is theres a small spot weld on each side of tang and one of my welds (only a tiny 3/16 spot weld) was cracked all the way through upon delivery , didnt make the guard loose and im not sure if the crack would have ever loosend guard but it put it in question . so returned knife to knife country in un-used brand new shape in all original packaging and was still deducted 13$ for shipping on an item i recieved flawed . so be aware of that policy if dealing with them as they charged me shipping on a flawed item .
