The diameter that fits through the hole in the filter basket is too large, it just doesn't fit. I suppose I could drill it out, but I don't want to modify my filter basket.

Was hoping it would work for generic Mr Coffee 5 cup coffee makers but didn't.
It was a $8 gamble that it would work, but didn't. It was only for Mr Coffee 5 cup coffee makers. I knew the risk.
