Problem solved.
I wish i had bought this first. A good shallow connection to the soil out let (more than deep enough to be secure) then a tight 90 degree turn and 30cm onto the soil pipe. All works well.

Works very well for awkward toilets. Allowed me to get a good fit at both ends, so no more horrible dripping from the back of the loo! Phew!

Easy to fit
Excellent extendable soil pipe. Easy to fit and seals first time with no leaks. Let's hope it stays that way. Makes fitting a lavatory into a tiled unit much easier.

Back to wall toilet with offset floor waste... worked a charm
Replacing toilet and moved it 4 inches off the old centre line. Leap of faith connecting it blind to the pan having fixed to the floor pipe and then sliding back but worked first time.Very releaved!

Flexi and easy to use
Very good quality product. Bought 3 of those to install in all toilets. Expand, fit and push back. Nothing easier for closed toilets. It bends to 90* angle.
