U.S. Divers Snorkel Set

This is a great little kit! It comes with everything that you need for some fun in the water. The goggles and snorkel are nice and appear to be good quality. My biggest recommendation would be to put some tooth paste on the lens overnight, then use a soft cloth with some water to rinse them out. This helps a ton with preventing fog and breaking in the goggles.Now on to the flippers. These things are great! Seem to have similar power output as my longer but thinner ones but are 10x easier to walk in than the long one. The only down fall is the buckles on the flippers. If you try and get them cinched down they have a tendency to become unbuckled. This is annoying but once adjusted right they seem to stay on good. The carrying bag is convenient, nothing special about it but is good for keeping stuff organized.tl;dr Great kit for the price, high quality and easy to use. Would recommend.

This is a great snorkel set. The fins are shorter but work well. The fins have a strap instead of a molded foot so they fit much better. The snorkel mouth piece is more comfortable than the U.S. Divers Cozumel Snorkeling Set. The goggles fit well and were easy to adjust. They were clear and resisted scratching pretty well. The carry bag was handy to keep everything together to travel with.

Overall, the set is pretty good. We purchased two sets, one for me and one for my wife. FINS. I purchased the LARGE to fit a 10-13 men's shoe. The size runs small. I have a narrow size 12 foot and wore a thin fin sock, and adjusted as large as the fins could go, they were marginally sized OK. My wife, who wears a women's size 8 shoe, purchased the MEDIUM that is supposed to fit women's 8.5 to 11 and she had no problem with fit. The fins are definitely short, but the fin length was adequate and the short length does not tend to cause one's legs to cramp after an extended snorkeling session. Having open heeled fins like these is a must for snorkeling. Wear fin socks to be able to walk across the rocks and coral into the water, then slip on the fins when it is deep enough to swim. MASK. Both of our masks fit OK. Don't forget to pick up some anti-fog. With fresh anti-fog, the lenses stayed clear. A neoprene mask strap to cover the rubber mask strap is also a recommended purchase to helps avoid pulling longer hair when removing your mask.. SNORKEL. The clip to attach the snorkel is worse than PATHETIC. One our clips broke before we got into the water. The other lasted maybe 2 minutes. The clips are a very weak, brittle plastic that should be a huge embarrassment to US Diver. We picked up some cheap cloth covered elastic "pony tail holders" from Wal-Mart and they worked much better for attaching the snorkel to the mask. The snorkel itself functioned OK. GEAR BAG. The bag is nice. The snorkel set packs up into a nice, neat package that does not take up much room in a suitcase.

Great Snorkeling Set! I gave this to my husband for Fathers Day (and bought one for myself) just before we set out on vacation. I chose it because it had great reviews and was portable. We left for a month long car trip across the country the next day.This set changed our plans - in a good way. While driving through central Florida we stopped at cool fresh water springs - and snorkeled. Same in the Smokey Mountains. Ditto in Lake Michigan. Now that we are back home I even use the mask and snorkel (no fins) to swim laps in the pool.Please understand that we are not snorkeling people. I just happened upon the set on Amazon and bought it on a whim. Am so glad I did.A word about size - the fins are shorter than regular dive fins and therefore more comfortable and the set is easily stored in its own mesh bag. Doesn't take up much room in the car at all. Very clean and easily stowed away.If you have ever thought about snorkeling this is a great set to have. No leaks, easily carried, and you don't have to rent equipment that someone else has used (yuck).

I ordered 2 sets (1 for me and 1 for my husband) for our trip to Maui. These arrived for Christmas gifts. We were so excited and had them all set and sized to go. Fast forward to Maui (since we didn't actually use them in the New England winter) we went to snorkel on one of our final days in Maui and both my husband and I had the plastic clip fall off our flipper and into the ocean never to be seen again. If it happened to ONE of us then I could see a possible user error, but the same clip fell off on both of ours and we were completely unable to snorkel. The clip should be securely fastened in a one piece design. We are outside of our return policy, didn't get to snorkel and pretty bummed about it. I'm going to look and see if I can order that one replacement clip but I'm afraid to rely on these due to what I feel is a defect. They are very attractive and appear to be made well other than the clip on the flipper issue.

Great set! The snorkel is great - we love that it is self closing to prevent the water from coming in. The mask is very comfortable and easy to see through. While yes, the flippers are smaller than the standard, they were perfect for us. We were using these in the Bahama's to snorkel. The carrying case was very helpful and made it easy for all of us to take care of our own items! Great item for a good cost!

Clip breaks! I read other reviews like this, so I was trying to be careful when I would set down mask on snorkel boat. Well the clip broke the first day of my trip.Dry snorkel: works excellent. They sent me one that goes on the left side of maskMask: Fits good. Skirt below nose starts to hurt if mask is on too tight. Mask says tempered, but I think the lenses are plastic, this was per my guide, he said they were not made of glass.Fins: Not bad, not good. I can see if you use for an hour or less is fine, but after that they aren't that comfortable. I bought water socks and they work well for this problem.Travel: Loved how compact the set was with a travel bag. Since the fins are short for travel you do have to do a little more work to keep up with others who have longer fins.Contact: Would rate one star. No one to contact to get a replacement piece on this website.
