Works Great. i like the plug you can put in to remove the metal shavings and dump them after you remove the magnet. would recomend this tool. also i dont usually recomend stuff.

This thing is great had to add a few mc's to a panel this week that was live it caught all the metal shavings. made clean up a breeze

First of all, it does what it is advertised to do. You can attach it magnetically under a horizontal piece of metal and it'll catch the drill shavings that fall underneath. You can mount it behind a vertical piece and it'll catch most of what falls behind. You can even mount it in front of a piece it you want to catch the few shavings that might pop out toward you.It won't catch every little sliver, but it does pretty well, and at least as well as a DIY collection mechanism such as taping a box or cup under a hole. Of course, the magnets only attract magnetic metals. It won't magnetically attract aluminum or stainless steel. That's not the product's fault, it's physics. And even for aluminum, placing it well can catch most of the shavings.One star off because inevitably a lot of steel shavings get stuck to the magnets themselves, so there's the extra bit of clean-up trying to get those off. Not a hardship, but annoying. Even so, I'd rather wipe shavings off of the magnets than have them flying off while I'm drilling.

This little tool has become my good friend sence purchasing it. It dosent replace saftey measures you allready use, but it adds a really nice extra layer. I have to drill KO's in to 277/480V panels all the time, and it's really nice when you have the peice of mind knowing all your shavings will be captured and safely contained.
