Q: Why is it so expensive?

We are a small business, making our product in the USA, our manufacturer charges us based on our order volume. Basically, we need to sell more to be able to lower our price. Yes, It is Brown Rice Syrup . I'm not familiar with the requirements of a paleo/aip/grain free diet ...but I would imagine that rice (being a grain) would definitely disqualify it from your diet . Their main focus is no tomatoes in the recipe .
