H&N Hollowpoint Slugs, .177 Caliber

I like these slugs, they are light enough to shoot in a.177 pellet rifle and seem to shoot well, however I would not recommend shooting them in a pellet pistol, the velocity of a pistol is just to slow. My pistol spits them out around 450fps, whereas my rifle spits them out north of 800fps, much better grouping. They seem to be of good quality. The .22 version shoots very well in my Gamo magnum, thought I would give the .177 a try.

Very uniform casting of the pellets. These slugs pack a punch. Make sure your air rifle has the required power to use these. Not recommended on lower powered air rifles. Hunting use, overkill for plinking. Amazon packaging could have been better, tin was dented. As these are lead, rough handling could deform them, however less likely than standard pellets with skirts.

Doesnt fit in my M-rod chamber. Fits very tight in my Stoeger chamber and is very accurate. Heavier weight reduces sonic boom. Hollow point is really tiny in .177 cal. So small that i dont notice any expansion.

I don’t know if they’re just not stabilizing or they are too heavy. But they are not very accurate in my 10 pump air rifle.

Accurate of my throne gen2 would buy again

Must have for high velocity air rifle.

My .177 Benjamin Marauder hates these things. They shoot so high left that my Vortex scope can't adjust to it. I struggled just to get "on paper" (12" x 18" target)! I've tested allot of pellets so far and this is the first one that I cannot zero in.
