Q: Is this suitable to extend the pipe for a shower mixer that has a G3/4" connection?

I used them on shower mixer, to extend the connection that comes out of wall, use a good amount of ptfe tap, works great no leaks,

Q: How are these sealed? With tape or can washers be used?

Apply PTFE tape to the male threads

Q: Is the quoted length the extension lenth or overall length of the item? I need to extend by 15mm

It is the extended length not including the threaded part

Q: could these be used to extend a 3/4" BSP outside garden tap?

I can't see any reason why it shouldn't be used for purpose requiring a 3/4 BSP male thread at one end and 3/4 BSP female at the other
