First I'll address other reviews knocking this spotlight for being limited to a 12v cigarette lighter power source...that is specifically what this light is designed for and you should purchase this light with that as your main reason for purchasing it...there are no batteries to recharge...the light works every time because you are plugging it in to your vehicle...thus is ideal in certain situations...like spotlighting deer from a Polaris ranger...you would chew through tons of batteries powering a spotlight for hours while spotlighting from your vehicle...If you need a light to walk around with, then obviously this is not the light you need...you can, if desired, make the 12v DC spotlight more portable by plugging it in to one of many portable power banks available that come with a 12v cigarette outlet as one of their available power outlets...the downside of this option is that larger power banks can have some weight and would not be fun to carry around for any length of time...but it would certainly allow you to carry this spotlight anywhere you'd like to take it and it would power the light for quite a long time as well...I'm not talking about the small 10,000 mAh power banks for charging your cell phone once or twice on a camping trip...but rather the larger 100,000 mAh and greater power banks that you can recharge with solar panels, 110v wall outlets, etc...that said, this 12v halogen spotlight seems to put out enough light to see clearly up to 100 yards and then some. . I have not yet tried using it at greater distance s than 100 yards so I cannot offer any opinions but it looks like it will be good for much further than 100 yards for sure...it does feel very light and the on/off switch does not feel like it will last a really long time to me...I dare say it feels cheap when switching it on and off ..but only time will tell. .is it worth $30 for bright spotlighting unimpeded by dying batteries?...I say yes

I bought this specifically for using in the car when I needed to do large sweeps of an area to find my dog. Thankfully I haven't had to try and find the little bugger at night yet, but he escapes from the back yard fairly often, so it's only a matter of time for when I'll really need this light. Until then, I've fully tested it and leave it in the car at all times just in case. It's a very powerful light, and is so much more useful than headlights alone!

Got this for a trip across the country just in case where was an emergency. I tested it and it seemed to work well. Fortunately, I did not need it. I will keep it in my car just in case.

If you need a spotlight to use in case of an emergency at night in your vehicle, this is a decent choice. It does have to be plugged into a 12V outlet, and the cord isn't very long making it a bit cumbersome. The brightness of this spotlight is pretty good, but there are much brighter spotlights out there.

The Litmann spotlight arrived in easy packaging and use is self-explanatoryBright. Shiny. Lightweight. What more is there to say?
