Surprise
I have to say I was skeptical at first about installing a dead pedal in my 2021 Gladiator. I don't know why. At first I skipped over it. Then a couple of months later it appeared for me again and on a whim I ordered it.It arrived today and tonight I installed it. There were no instructions included (not that I ever read instructions until I encounter a problem with assembly/install). I turned to google and found a youtube video showing another brand being installed, so I got the gist of it from that. It wasn't real hard to install, but I did have to take it out one time because I did not like the way I had aligned it, and it was sitting closer to the firewall than I wanted. So using the other end of the spectrum with respect to the mounting holes on the foot plate (closest to the edge, rather than closest to the middle - you'll understand what I mean if you buy and install it), reinstalled it and oh yes that's it baby. Why on earth do they not put these in cars these days? Save a buck and jack the price up anyway?I am looking forward to my next road trip in the Jeep now, since not having a dead pedal creates so much parasitic fatigue that you don't notice, until you have a dead pedal. It is well made, solid steel and all hardware is included (a 10mm and 13mm socket are needed, along with a hex key....don't know the size though).

It's a dead pedal, poor instructions, iffy design
The first obvious sign was instructions that were very light on detail. A few pictures regarding assembly of the 3 components. That's it. No information regarding mounting within the vehicle, as the consumer, you're just supposed to know the whats and wheres of the installation. Jeepers are handy, I get it... installation mystery appeals to some folks. Once everything is figured out regarding actual installation, you realize that this assembly is held in place with one bolt that already exists inside the vehicle. Crank it down tight, feels sturdy enough. There's some adjustments that can be made to change the positioning of the pedal, which is nice. I don't have alot of confidence that it'll stay put over time.

Should have come from the factory
Why they leave out a dead petal from the factory is beyond me. Its such a simple thing that goes a long way for comfort, especially on longer trips. This is a perfect solution. It is solid metal, very sturdy dead simple to assemble and install and has a perfect fit!.There are 3 pieces that bolt together with 4 nuts/bolts, once that it together there is a single nut to remove on the firewall, admittedly this was the hardest part using a ratchet, if you have a power tool probably much easier. Pop this deadpedal on and replace the nut.The only downside is that once installed it is a bit of a pain to adjust, it can be done, but my suggestion is test fit adjust and then tighten down.Looks great feels great, very sturdy, good price, I highly recommend!

Never installed, poor instructions
Sadly I never could install this. The instructions didn't give me enough info to put it in.

Nice addition
Has some instructions but could be better. Thankfully it is pretty easy to assemble and once you do and you look at the area it goes in, it makes sense. Just remove a nut, place, and place nut over it and done. Nice to have a place to rest your foot on finally.

Decently constructed
I ordered this for my 2020 JL Rubicon and it fits really well… if you don’t follow the directions. The instructions that come with the pedal show the plate that mounts to the firewall upside down. There’s a small bend on the base plate and it gets in the way when trying to mount it to the firewall, simply flip it over (like in the photo I posted) and it will now lay flush to the firewall. The overall construction is nice and solid as well as all of the installation components included. Pretty easy and quick install, probably took me all of about 15 minutes. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a nice spot to rest your foot.

Instructions don't mention how to attach this to the floor.
This is a high quality, heavy duty, thick metal dead pedal. I miss my clutch, and this would be a perfect place to place my foot while driving. Unfortunately, my Gladiator (2020 Mojave) doesn't have anything either protruding through the carpet or under the carpet to attach this to.I am not going to drill a hole in the floor of my Jeep, IF that's what is expected from the manufacturer.I can't imagine how to attach this to the floor of my Jeep. It wouldn't be safe to just lay on the floor. Imagine it moving and getting stuck under the brake pedal.I find it very odd that a company would develops such a nice item, and not finish the design and instructions so the dead pedal could actually be used.
