I purchased these for a birdwatching trip in Costa Rica and these binoculars were perfect. They are small and light so not a burden to have with me all the time. They are crystal clear with decent eye-relief so they worked fine with my glasses. I have found these binoculars to be an excellent value for the money.

Purchased two; one gift, one for self. Was nervous about open box product, but products were fine. The one for self is to replace some older Nikon compacts that finally failed after 20 years hard use. These are clear and do close focus well (needed for bird spotting). Would purchase again

First, I did not realize this would be an "open box" item. It did not have any lens caps, and I was unsure if that's how they came or if they were missing. The optics through these binoculars were amazing, however I had difficulty keeping them aligned with my eyes so I was constantly adjusting the width between the eyes. Part of the problem causing the difficulty is the location of the focusing knob. I'm accustomed to binoculars with the focusing knob on top, eacy to access while my fingers are holding the binoculars. The focusing knob on these is out towards the end of the lenses... perhaps one needs to adjust how they hold binoculars to reach the knob comfortably. I decided to return them and keep a different pair that I was trying. And lastly, I did not realize the return would not be free. If you try these and decide to return them... expect to pay for the return, $15-16 is being deducted from my refund for return shipping.

Very nice for the size and price. If you want a small, easy to carry binocular, with good clear glass, buy these.

I am not one for writing reviews except when I am suitably impressed. I wanted a pair of binos to replace a recently dropped (by my daughter) pair which have been in the house for years. I dont really have a specific requirement for binos, just like to take them out when going somewhere interesting. I work at sea and use binos often, but a ship's pair. These little Zeiss binos totally surpass my expectations, I trialled them against older but higher quality maritime-grade binos and this Zeiss pair wins hands down, except on the shake factor which is due to compact size, and was expected. The clarirty is exceptional, although I am not a qualified critic. For 200 bucks I am almost stunned, very happy with this purchase.

Nikon prostaff p7 several hundred dollars less were sharper. Stupid diopter adjustment. They do handle flare well though. Surprisingly bulky. Not up to the zeiss name. Zeiss you never shoulda outsourced to china!

At this price you aren't going to find a better pair of binoculars that will work for travel. They are very light and close up to a very narrow package, easily fits in your pocket. Bright and good contrast, very nice color rendition. I find the focus knob a bit stiff, that may be because they are new or just what you get for the price. I would prefer that the eye caps twist out with two different heights, but you can put them in the middle if you want, without a clear "stop". Again at this price you can't get everything. These aren't going to be in the same class as good $450-500 binoculars, but for this price, they are a steal. They are exactly the same as a slightly different packaged Zeiss model selling for 2x the price. Give them a try!

Have had a lot of low to moderate priced binoculars.These have great clarity. But to gets economical price there aren’t a lot of extras like case and lens covers but those aren’t important to me.
