Good quality
Nice pen. Many tools. Nice size. You have to take the pen out and flip it to use it, so that was kinda a pain.

Functional and handy
This is a great pen to keep in your car or in your bag. Multi functional tools that don't take up a ton of space are a lifesaver! Flashlight and pen work well. Peace of mind knowing I have a glass breaker available if needed. Its also nice they included two pen refills and extra batteries for the flashlight. Highly recommend one for yourself and one for someone you care about.

Would prefer to be a pen first and then other tools
I wish it was the pen first and then you go to other functions, but in this case, first, it's a glass breaker, and then you would have to unscrew to get to the pen. But overall it's a cool multifunctional tool/pen.

Great design/features, low quality fit/finish...
It’s a great design in theory, with a lot of great features one can use on a daily basis. However, for the price, the fit and finish is pretty bad (see attached photos). Near the tip of the pen, there’s a huge blemish in the black finish which just looked terrible. I saw lower-priced Smith and Wesson and Uzi brand tactical pens which appeared to be better put-together.Also be advised that when you flip from the glass-breaker to the pen side, the top/over won’t screw on or positively snap on to the back of the pen - it’s more of a friction lock, you just push it in as much as you can. This could be an issue, considering the pen is meant for active lifestyle use. The Multitool tip screws on, check it before your first use as mine came loose. The glass-breaker tip is the real deal, not just a one-piece machined tip.The light is bright enough for what you’d need it for- nothing more, nothing less. It features toggle on/off press, single mode, no strobe. It’s great to see Take Flight includes extra batteries and pen refills. Overall, the fit and finish of the pen is not worth the asking price, I will likely be returning it.

Not the most practical, but when has that stopped someone from liking a cool gadget?
I received this as a gift.As an Army vet, I have never lost my affinity for neat gadgets. My wife and kids, recognizing this, get little things like this for me from time to time.Let me start with the drawbacks. This thing is huge. It is not something you are going to be carrying in your shirt pocket without it getting quite annoying.Getting to the pen is a 2 handed proposition. No pulling it out and readying it quickly with one hand. And the cap doesn't neatly go back on the pen while it is in 'pen mode.'The same is true for basically all of the modes. You will probably need two hands to access any tool except the glass breaking tip.Because of its size and its lack of easy access, it probably won't be a daily use sort of tool for most people. But it does have a handy combination of devices in a small package.I keep mine neatly hanging in the visor of my vehicle. If I am ever in desperate need for a pen, or bottle opener, I know where one is and I can get to it. And if I ever desperately need a glass breaker or a striking weapon, I have one that is quick to access and deploy. The tool appears very strong and well machined, and appears to be reliable for those purposes.Overall, I am happy with the tool and while I don't think I will need it often, I feel confident that it will be very handy when I do.
