Very slow R/W, boot up and file searching
I was very disappointed with this drive as it promised the best of both worlds in performance and storage. In reality, the read/write speed was very slow. PC boot up was also slow and troubles associating the drive in BIOS.Plus, one alarming thing is that on the Microsoft welcome screen to log in with a 'nice picture', there was what seemed to be Chinese writing for the description of the image which made me suspect there could be some malware or other embedded S/W in the boot up sector. Checking the Seagate website putting the drive details in, it seems he product is not a new item but one soured form a product (i.e. laptop) which Seagate support have confirmed. For info, the manufacturing date was Aug 2018!!.So, spend a few quid more and get an SSD or mSATA!
