Awesome cooler
When I received this item I tested it completely. I set the temperature on both sides of the cooler to -4 degrees and placed glasses of water in both sides. They froze solid. I then set one side back up to 38 degrees and kept my sodas nice and cold. The unit is nice and quiet. I purchased the unit that came with a battery. The battery kept both sides cool/frozen for a period of 3 hours. It’s a wonderful unit.

Really good product and company
Let me begin by telling you that this product gets high marks because of the company's excellent customer service. The original unit I purchased had temperature control issues. I contacted Customer Service and they responded within 24 hours. We emailed a few times with some technical information and they realized the unit I purchased was not going to work, so they replaced it promptly and courteously. This is the type of service that makes me loyal to a product. Now, about the refrigerator. It works very well! I have the small compartment set up as the freezer and the large compartment as the fridge. It maintains the temps well, keeping the frozen items frozen, and the chilled items chilled - meaning that one compartment doesn't dominate the entire unit. I also found the it draws only about half the power from the battery that I thought it would when operating in ECO mode. When the compressor is not running it draws only 1 watt, and that's to power the control panel.Apart from the operational things I just mentioned, I do like the features it provides. It appears to be a solid construction. The lid is reversible to fit your camp setup, it's got the removable baskets to make loading and unloading easier, and it has internal lighting.All-in-all I am really pleased with BougeRV and this refrigerator!

A great fridge/freezer for outdoor activities and traveling
I gave an overall rating of 4 stars only because the LED for the large compartment didn’t work. I called their tech support and they have been very helpful in sending replacement parts, videos and guidance on troubleshooting the issue. Unfortunately it appears that the issue is the actual wiring from the PCB to the LED. They gave me a small refund and a discount on their latest flexible solar panel. I couldn’t ask for more and I believe that if I insisted they would have allowed me to return the cooler. I didn’t want to do that and honestly at the end of the day, not having that light isn’t a deal breaker. So now the great news. We travel a lot for my sons travel baseball and this cooler rocks! We are typically at a tournament for 3-4 days, every weekend, and the only shade is what you bring. I have the 59Q cooler and we pack it with almost a full case of water and in the small compartment we put fruit, cheese and meat slices for snacks. ( along with a couple beers and tonic water) When we travel to the tournament, the cooler is plugged into the car 12volt and I can monitor it using the app. When we are at the ballpark, it runs off the battery pack I purchased for it through another source, a solar generator or a 100W solar panel. (To use the solar panel you have to have a battery plugged in) While running it with the internal battery and solar generator I can get about 6-7 hours of run time, (setting it at 25F on a 85-95F day) with the solar panel I can go as long as there is sun. (My solar generator is a small 256W unit for portability reasons) I’m not carrying my 2k unit around with everything else - lolEverything in the cooler stays cold, even on the hottest of days, and I have even frozen the water bottles by setting it too cold. I keep the cooler out of the sun either by placing an umbrella over it or having it under the EZ-Up with us. (Typically under the umbrella) With the amount of water we can pack, we have plenty of water for my wife and I along with the rest of the families on the team. (Son has his own cooler in the dugout) An added benefit of the cooler is that the water bottles aren’t all wet and dripping water all over, as when they are kept in ice. When we go back to the hotel, we load up the cooler for the next day and let it run in the room overnight. The pint here is that the unit is not overly loud and doesn’t prevent us from sleeping when its in the same room. The USB charging port has been a cool little feature, had another parent charge their phone using it and it works great. The bottle opener works great for the adult beverages at the end of a long hot day.I’m able to pull it along easily on the large wheels through uneven terrain, grassy terrain and even crushed stone paths.I’ve also started using this cooler for our Costco runs. No more do we have to worry about getting straight home before the frozen items thaw too much. We have made a trip to Costco, pack the cold items in the cooler and then run errands for the next 3 hours and the ice cream is still frozen!Yes I’m a fan of this cooler and I appreciate the service I’ve received from BougeRV up to this point. As I mentioned, I’m purchasing their new flexible solar panel to use on the EZ-UP and believe in their product line so far.

I’m a truck driver
I’m a truck driver I needed more room for food since I’m out so long. So I put in my truck and then load it in my car go home refill it and bring it back to my truck the second week I did this the handle broke and it fell. Damage the bottom of the cooler. Started making a little noise but it still seems to be working fine. The handles are junk they don’t go all the way through there just a little clip in handle unfortunately it broke while I was trying to pick it up to put it in my truck. It sucks that that happened now I have nothing to hold onto the other handle came off as well but I was able to put it back on. Of course it won’t stay on if you pick it up. This thing cost a lot of money to have cheap handles on it.The seller contacted me and sent me new handles within a few days. Good customer service. So far the cooler works good. Because of customer service being on top of things I have changed my stars from 3 to 5

The best cooler owned
Been camping for over 20 years in different areas of the country. Starting out with a regular 40qt ice style cooler which is very good and works like it should, just had to make sure ice was close to fill the cooler so as to not lose food. Then draining it everyday... Upgraded to a Colman electric fridge which worked good for some time, had it for many years. Biggest complaint was the socket which became extremely hot causing the fuse to blow alot and almost a fire in vehicle. We decided to purchase a new electric cooler, looking at iceco, dometic, and such. We finally settled on the BougeRV 59qt electric fridge and freezer. This thing is amazing! As only owning it for a few short months, right away it was used everyday on a camping trip for several weeks. It was most impressive when traveling in the southwestern states and temperatures were well above 100°F, the BougeRV kept the food cold and frozen. Albeit, not as cold as we would have liked but with the high temperatures and sitting outside the entire time it was impressive. Having the Bluetooth app was also amazing as it helped monitor the performance and helped us not lose any food. Kept it on the entire muti-week trip using the 12 volt plug. (No harm to my vehicle or battery pack.) Will definitely be purchasing the battery pack and insulation cover in the near future.

First 48 hours
First 48 hours: tested this out over the weekend to make sure everything ran accordingly. I started outed the first 24 hours connected AC wall outlet. Set on “Max” it cooled down relatively quickly to set temperatures. I didn’t load it up but put a tray of ice to make, and a few items on the fridge side. I had it in Fridge & Freezer configuration. Ice froze much faster than my bar fridge can. And grocery’s stayed cool. Today I then used my Vtoman 600x (299 wh) battery pack. Put it on Eco mode. Ran it for 6+ hours in the house (19-22° C) average power consumption was 18.5 watts/hr. Now I expect the power usage to go up when in the back seat of the truck during the summer and it’s warmer. Overall it’s running without issue. I do find on Eco Mode when it does kick on and off it’s not necessarily loud but in the room I can hear. But again the unit kicks on and off as needed so it’s not continuous noise and honestly even in the cab of the truck I expect road noise and music to make it unnoticeable. Conclusion is the unit runs as it should. Came packed well. No visible defects. Will try and update this review in fall 2024 after my overlanding adventures for the season.

Works fairly well keeping cold stuff cold. Mediocre insulation. Struggles to cool down warm stuff.
It seems to be quite poorly insulated. I had a few pillows and blankets on one side during transport and those as well as the fridge's side wall seemed ice cold). Not sure how much of an improvement the bag would do, can't be that spectacular - I wish it came with the same kind of insulation and sturdiness that other modern coolers have. The handles work for transport but seem quite flimsy. Otherwise it works as promised. Food, drinks and ice cream stayed frozen during a hot day in the car exposed to full sun while parked and over night. The control panel is a bit fiddly and sometimes the keys respond unintendedly when you work around the fridge. I found it is best to just keep the control panel locked and control the fridge through the app (which works surprisingly good).Powering it with an Ecoflow River (288Wh) it lasted only around 12 hours over night before my battery went to zero. Definitely should have additional battery capacity if you want to travel without shore power and not rush to keep the vehicle started in the morning.Noise is more than a regular residential fridge, but I can live with it when car camping. While it seems to do work as promised in keeping cool stuff cool I now gave it the ultimate test and tried to cool down approx a dozen small water bottles I had at room temperature. 4 hours later and it's still working on it with the compressor continuously running... it even had a head start with some space already prefilled with cool bottles and cans. I might repeat this test with an exclusive set of warm water bottles and timer to see how long it actually would take, but for now I would say don't count on cooling or freezing warmer stuff quickly with this device. It's only intended for keeping already cool stuff cool and maybe you can sneak in a few warm cans into a bunch of already cool stuff.-----Update: vendor offered me a refund - can't complain about value anymore, will just get an extra battery and maybe the thermal bag :)

A nice budget alternative to name brand
If you can swing the space required, this is a perfect fridge/freezer combo for a camper/camping trip.Freezer keeps things frozen, we had it running for a weekend in our campervan and didn't have any issues. Fridge also works the same, keeping things cold just like you'd expect. Some notes, most all good:The interface on the unit itself is a little cumbersome, but if you have it set how you want you shouldn't need to touch it. Only thing would be when accidentally bumping the soft keys and you then need to remind yourself how to change the temperature again. Which is easier if you use the app...The app... is an app. It works, sort of. It's persistence is hit and miss, basically if you connect to the fridge, check the temp, then walk out of Bluetooth range, and open the app again, it doesn't seem to indicate that you're not looking at the current temps. You need to force close and re-open the app to be confident that what you're looking at is the active temp. It's also pretty typical of an app that was translated from another language as everything is in capitals. It does, overall, work when it's connected to the device.Power wise, this thing uses 80-100w from my power station when the compressor runs. I had it get to temp on shore power, then ran it on battery once we hit the road. It used about 10% of my BLUETTI EB3A's battery, which is a 268Wh battery - over a 3 hour session. Not bad.Overall, can't complain. And at 1/3 of the price of a Dometic, how can you?

Honest Review after 1 year and 2 months!! Please read before you buy
I purchased this unit after using the lifetime cooler with ice and need to deal with melted ice after years of camping. I have done my research and watched all the available youtube videos and decided to go with BougeRv. It failed me after a year of use with around 10 camping trips.Things I find worth your attention :1. Poorly insulated, I have compared the fridge that my friend had, and I find that the temperature loses way faster than his, due to the strip are not able to fully trap the inner.2. I had power this with my Jackery 500 and it only lasts for 8 hours, based on the specs and factoring all the dead weight loss of the battery, it should at least last for 12-15 hours, so I borrowed my friend's bluetti EB55, the same result...IMO mainly due to the above reason - poorly insulated and could possibly be due to the engineering of the fridge3. The control panel seems fine (touch screen) for first the first few camping trips (first few months of use), until then sometimes it won't work....you need to unplug the unit and plug it back in to fix the issue, and it is quite annoying sometimes, but I can live with that at some point4. The handle is not up to quality. I always worry that the handle will break when I have all stocked up with cans of drink and my food, so basically, you will need to treat that as if you don't have a handle and move your fridge by holding the bottom instead of the handle5. The noise is getting noisier and noisier. When I initially use it, the fridge is not as quiet as I would expect but is not concerning me either, but when time goes by, the sounds created dramatically increased, not sure if it is because of the engineer or any other reason.Overall:I would seriously warn all the potential buyers, please reconsider all the above findings after slightly more than a year of use. I normally don't like to judge something by not using it for a certain amount of time, so did not just refund it after the first month of use or just leave a bad review, but I had to voice this out and hopefully BougeRV you will see it and make improvement on it. The return period has close and guess I could only stuck with this now.

Great product design, excellent customer service
Had an issue with the product I received, the seller quickly resolved it to my satisfaction.Pro: Dual zone, quiet, energy efficient, remote control by Bluetooth app, reversible cover that can open on either side, built in led lights for both compartments.Con: The small section is a little too small. The temperature displayed not as accurate as my other BougeRV fridges. The cooling is slower than single zone fridge. For people considering a dual zone fridge, please understand the cooling will be slower, as the same compressor needs to alternate cooling each compartment. So this type of fridges is not as good for frozen ice creams from the stores if you leave it unplugged in a hot car and expect it to cool immediately upon power on.For potential purchasers on this fridge that will be using it in a packed vehicle, don’t underestimate the benefits of the lid able to open on either side. It gives great flexibility in placement. You need to keep the fridge vents unobstructed, and being able to change the opening direction gives you that placement flexibility. In the end, I decided to stick with using a BougeRV 30Q for fridge and a 23Q unit for freezer. If you just want a versatile dual zone fridge to put items that are already cold, and just need a smaller space for frozen items, then this is an excellent fridge from a company with great customer service.
