Our ten-year-old grandson went to Space Camp and wants to be an astronaut. He also hates to go to bed. We bought him this for Christmas thinking it might be a nice way to get him to go to bed on time. It was better than expected! Fairly crisp images and the wide angle fills the ceiling. Multiple slides make for a good variety. He loved it and used it every night he was visiting.

I purchased this to match the galaxy rug and bed spread so the whole room is now lit up with stars and it is amazing. It has a timer so you cannot over use it. It is so relaxing - will put you to sleep quickly. I love it and my family loves it too. Everyone wants one for their room now. It is amazing.

Our daughter loves the night sky, learning about constellations and stars, etc. We ordered this as a gift item for her. Obviously the holidays are not here yet, but we unpacked it and tested the item to make sure it would work on Christmas. We were surprised with the quality of construction -- this thing is more heavy-duty than you expect! It also comes with multiple cartridges that allow it to project different things. I expect that she will be very excited and have lots of fun evening time before bed shining this toward her ceiling and watching the different projections. If your child likes the same things, I can recommend this product as a good option!

Maybe I was expecting too much out of this. The item description didn’t state that it was educational, but somewhat insinuated that. The pictures on it are fantastic but the commentary is only about 30 seconds long on each slide. I felt like they missed an opportunity to make it more of an educational tool, as well as decorative and a nightlight and all of the other things they mention in the ad. There was plenty of room to talk more about stars and how solar systems are created, etc.This is basically a very simple projector. A bright bulb that reflects the image on the slide up onto your ceiling. It’s supposed to spin and the slides have gears built-in to them to help turn them, but it must turn very slowly. I had a hard time seeing it spinning. The images projected onto your ceiling are incredibly vivid and colorful. The audio is very crisp and easy to understand, but as I stated, only about 30 seconds long on each slide. It comes with 13 slides, and it only takes a few seconds to change them. The focus of the image can be adjusted and the volume can be turned up and down. I’ve used it several times over the last few days, just laying on the floor and looking up at the ceiling with my grandson and talking to him about the stars, the sky and the heavens. It’s very relaxing and pleasant. One problem I have each time I pull it out and go to use it is that I forget to plug in the USB cord. To me, it seems something as small and simple as this should be wireless and have a rechargeable battery in it. Every time I try to turn it on and it does nothing I remember I have to pull the cord out of the box and plug it in. That’s something I’ll get used to eventually. ThanI’m kind of torn on whether or not I feel like this is a good value. I guess that would be relative to each individual user anyways. It’s nice, I just wish there’s more audio and they were more informative. If somebody didn’t want that you can always turn the volume down and just look at the images. I guess the important thing here is that my grandson loves it, so that makes it all worthwhile!

I requested and received this as a Christmas gift from my children.The projected images are really beautiful. I only wish there was a wireless version. With the cord, I am fairly limited to where I can put it.
