I bought a cheaper aftermarket keypad first, but returned it and bought an actual Chamberlain unit for one important reason. When you need to close the door, you don’t need to put the code in again. I just want to push the button and walk away just like the keypad I was replacing.It is easy to program if you follow the instructions included. My opener has a purple learn button and it works great.

I bought this garage door keypad as a replacement for my Liftmaster 377LM. It said it was 100% compatible with my model, and was significantly cheaper. That should have been the red flag. I unboxed and paired this unit to my garage door opener and it worked perfectly . . . for about five minutes (or about three open/closes!) When I pressed the "0" key on the keypad followed by the "Enter" button, the keypad started making a horrible buzzing sound that would not stop no matter what I did. I even tried removing the battery and leaving it out for a couple hours, but when I reconnected the 9V, it started buzzing all over again. Lesson learned . . . spend a few more dollars for the real thing and save a lot of aggravation! Caveat Emptor!

I replaced my old garage door keypad. The remote keypad works well after setting it up and one thing I like with this keypad compared to my old is, this keypad beeps when you press the button along with lighting up. Sometimes it's so bright during the day so the beeping sound helps.The one thing I dislike about this keypad compared to my old keypad is when I want to close the garage door, I need to re-enter the passcode and then press enter to close the garage door. With my oder keypad, to close the garage door, I just need to press enter and no need to enter the passcode.One thing to note, you need to set up the keypass to support the correct garage door opener. I have the chamberlain garage opener with the purple learn button so I need to set up the keypad to work with that specific garage opener. I had a difficult time setting up the keypad because as I followed the instructional steps, I waited for the button lights to go off to proceed to the next step. I found out that you should move to the next steps right away or the setup does not work. Also, make sure you hear all the beeps associated with each of the steps. There were many times when I entered my PIN and pressed the # key, I heard a long beep instead of 5 beeps. Make sure to follow the instructions carefully and hear the necessary beeps.
