I almost always have to replace the cases on CD's shipped from Amazon because of damage to the plastic during shipping, especially when the CD's are shipped in those bubble envelopes. They won't handle being ripped through the sorters at the bulk mail centers. Stock up on these! The price is right.

Purchased item to swap old broken parts from CD jewel cases, mostly the hinged covers. However, these new cases are manufactured to different specs, making it impossible to trade parts without transferring the entirety of the contents (front cover art, disk, and back cover art) to the new cases; new parts are incompatible and do not fit the old cases. New cases are flimsy, without the rigidity of the older cases, yet seem to break as quickly. From the time the package's outer plastic wrap was opened, they emitted a foul, chemical, off-gassing smell that filled the room that stayed in the air for days. Would have sent these back if the return window had not expired and not already committed several pieces to the project, but will make a point to put the remaining pieces in an unfrequented storage area and see if the smell dissipates, or failing that, trash what’s left of them. Either way, making a point to never buy from this manufacturer again.Pending the length of the product’s lingering smell, one star rating for highly unsatisfactory.

A bit thin, but not quite flimsy. they work good for the price

Great price, practical storage, easy to use. Good to have on hand for CD case replacement or mailing.

They do the job but these are some of the flimsiest jewel cases I have ever had. Some of them showed up with broken hinges. If you're making CD's for an artist project I wouldn't recommend, but if you just need a cheap replacement shell then they'll serve their purpose.

I've finally decided to get organized! I have CD's that I've lost the cases to, a ton of "burned" CD's from back when streaming was just starting to come into its own. I've put together a nice 80's stereo system with both a CD player plus a new DVD/CD player to play the burned discs. I digress....So, I've got stacks of discs that need some kind of organization. Enter these CD Jewel Cases. The price is right, they're well made and look great! I've pretty much used up this back and need to buy more!

These cases are very thin compared to commercial cases.
