A harmony ball (bola) is a beautiful and versatile pregnancy necklace originally used by pregnant Mexican women to bond with their unborn baby. Through generations of pregnancy and motherhood, they found that the soft tinkling chimes provided a calming effect for babies both during their pregnancy and after their children were born. Inside the bola, a little ball dances around creating a gentle and melodic chime - very close to a tinkering wind chime. From approximately 16-20 weeks into pregnancy, your baby can hear and recognise sounds in the womb. By wearing the harmony bell regularly, low on the belly, your baby will grow familiar with the relaxing chimes. We have included with the handmade silver plated 20mm diameter harmony ball a 150cm long natural brown leather cord (which can be adjusted to sit perfectly over any growing bump) and a gorgeous 60cm/ 24in silver snake chain for use with your bola post birth.
