Developed fault within two months of buying it. Not impressed.
I bought this machine because I was prepared to spend a little extra for the "Bosch" good reputation. Save your money folks! This machine malfunctioned within two months of purchasing it. Currently waiting for the engineer to call (appointment a week ahead). If you think the Bosch name is worth paying for then frankly it isn't. Wish I'd just gone for cheap and cheerful now. Shan't buy one of theirs again. Fortunately this should be under maker's guarantee, but essentially I have been hugely inconvenienced by the machine going wrong so quickly after purchase.

Attractive washes well
Firstly I was disappointed it is a lot smaller than my previous 8kg washing machine and not all of the programs are to be used at full capacity. It does however appear to wash quite well and is fairly quiet in comparison to machines in the 1980s perhaps.. but I can currently hear it spinning from downstairs on the other side of the house with all doors between closed. The spin is 1400 which really does save time drying. What I'm not impressed by is that Bosch has really made cheap shortcuts in their newest products. This is the second Bosch large appliance I've replaced recently and that also suffers from the same too short plug cable and flimsy cheap plastics. I've stayed loyal to Bosch for decades as I believed in their superior quality builds and materials but I feel a bit fooled with these new items that do not look durable at all.So its a great colour and easy to use and seems fine for now but I don't see it lasting 10 - 15 years as previous Bosch appliances did.

Efficient and very quiet
Upgraded from a still working 17-year old Bosch Classixx, but one that was just starting to feel its age. The Serie 4 should be a lot more efficient, and it's very quiet. Even on full spin can barely hear it outside of the kitchen. The titanium colour is lovely. The door handle is just slightly offset upwards to a 2o'clock position instead of 3, making it subtly easier to reach. Digital readout is useful.Using Eco mode the wash cycle does take longer than before, around 3.5 hours for max load (it is dynamic and will be less for smaller loads) but this isn't an issue if cost-saving is paramount. Shorter wash modes are available as usual, while the timer function has already proved very useful for setting a delayed start for night shifting too.Hopefully our brand loyalty here will pay off and this new Bosch will give us as many years great service as the old one.
