I rarely have anything other than the base of my tent and this inflatable mattress between my sleeping bag and the ground when wild camping on even ground.Its comfortable, nice pillow- Packs up easily. Mostly self inflates and with minor effort you really make it firm.I treat it like its made of paper though so cannot attest to its durability. but i do choose it every time over the puncture free risk of over a less comfortable roll mat.

My daughter is going on a summer camping trip with her school next week and she needed a mat to go under her sleeping bag. Found this one and thought that the inflation would be a bonus and help keep her comfortable when she is sleeping in the tent. It’s her first camping experience and I wanted to be pleasurable for her.The camping mat comes in its own bag and folds down quite small. It has a drawstring on the bag so that you can shut it in the bag and easily pop it over your shoulder when carrying stuff to your camping site. It’s a nice colour as far as roll mats go and I personally love the textured finish once it is inflated.When we first opened it, it looked absolutely massive and much bigger than a single but once we started inflating it, it shrunk a little as it filled with air. It’s very easy to use; simply close the valve on the pillow and then use the sponge down the bottom to suck in air and pump it up. My husband did it in a couple of minutes max and used his foot and then just knelt down and used his hands instead as he felt that was quicker. It was quick and easy which should mean that my daughter will have no issues when camping. Inflated quickly and was very comfortable and my daughter really liked it. She did say that the pillow was a little bit uncomfortable but we are talking about a princess who has only ever slept in a bed with soft pillows, so it is bound to be a bit of a change for her but they have been recommended to bring a small pillow to sleep on anyway, so that shouldn’t be a problem.It’s potentially a little bit noisy when she is rolling around on it, but then I always find camping stuff is; main thing is that she thought it was really comfortable.Once we were finished, we opened the valve on the pillow (it’s a double valve so you need to pull out the second one underneath) and it deflated almost instantly. It was really simple to fold up and put away and put back into its bag which will be ideal for my daughter.I think personally the item performs really well, it isn’t too heavy so my daughter will be able to carry it, it’s easy enough for anyone to pump up and doesn’t require you to be super strong or athletic. It is suitable to use when camping or if my daughter has a sleepover in the future and it seemed pretty strong and durable but does come with two puncture repair patches.All in all, really pleased

Bought for a recent camping trip. Nice and compact when uninflated and so easy to transport. Slightly heavier than a traditional roll up foam mat but much more comfortable. The inflating is relatively easy using your foot to pump. It does take a few minutes to inflate fully but even my 9 year old son was able to do it so not at all tricky. No top up with mouth required which I like. Deflating was also very easy by releasing the stopper at the bottom. To completely empty it of air, keep the stopper out whilst rolling it up and then put it back in before you pack it away (to prevent forgetting to put it in before trying to pump up next time!).As for sleeping, it is a good size - plenty long enough and wide enough for a camp bed. It was quite comfortable to lie on with just enough give in it that it’s not too firm (and obviously firmness can be adjusted with how much you inflate it). The built in pillow is a good addition, though perhaps not as comfortable as a regular pillow. I added a small camping pillow on top and it was perfect. Also a nice feature that you can popper two or more together to make a larger bed if needed. We didn’t do this so can’t comment how effective this would be for more than one person.The only negative we found is that it’s quite crinkly to sleep on and if you move around on the bed it does make a bit of noise which may be annoying! I think this could probably be improved by putting a blanket over it to muffle the house - we just lay a sleeping bag directly on top but will use a cover over it next time to see if that helps.Overall, a good price for a comfortable sleeping mat which is easy to inflate/deflate and pack away. Only downside is the crinkle!

This mattress is great quality and a very good price considering the quality. It inflates very easily in less than 2 minutes of gentle pumps using my foot. It is very comfortable and I use it on top of sunbeds to give me more comfort. I am able to pack it into my suitcase and use on sunbeds abroad as it packs down very small. This is a great product and would be a great asset on any camping trip.

My daughter loves it! She did her practice duke of edinburgh award camp out with a basic camping sleep mat, and had a miserable night's sleep! She didn't want to do the real camp because of it. I did lots of research to find a mattress which was both comfortable, and didn't involve her having to carry a heavy or clumpy pump. This furs the bill! It's easy to inflate and deflate, it stays inflated all night, it's easy to roll back up and get back in the carry bag, plus not heavy or clumpy to carry. She said she was really comfortable and from what I can gather lots of kids had a go on it and it stood up to the abuse! Somebody even tried to bribe her to let them have it for the night! It's safely packed away for daughter no 2 to use it this school year for her DOE. Highly recommend!

Developed a leak after only two uses.

Mixed reviews here! My husband loved his and thought it very comfortable. I hated mine and found the nearest shop to replace it with an air bed in the middle of our camping trip. I find it too uncomfortable, hard and not good for my back. However, it is compact and easy to transport.
