Sorry, I don't know how it compares to the Addidas. However, I left my Hydrapeak bottle outside in the sun for eight hours in 84 degree heat to see how it would hold up. The water was still cold with plenty of ice in it.

Q: For some reason when lid is screwed on tightly, it makes it very hard to suck water through the straw lid. Is there any way to fix this issue?

The straw might not be on completely make sure you really push it up.
